If buying used is an option, I would be patient and wait for something to come available on craigslist. I have had great success with this and accumulated some pretty good pieces.

Good to know, I haven't used my Wooki yet, but will keep this in mind.

I have used the ENO Blaze and it works just fine on my BB XLC.

Our deck is the same way. I have given up trying to provide shade and moved my hammock to a shaded spot!

I also think the thrift stores are a great resource. If you are patient you will find some great down items that will work!

The gear closet is a great idea and will benefit scouts for years to come.

I'm not familiar with the bridge hammock at all, but this looks kind of cool. I would also worry about insulation and shoulder squeeze.
