Thanks Sideshowraheen and Cougarmeat for our replies.
I'm guessing the new dreamtex material is probably similar to Dutch's Hexon 1.6 material
Just curious to find out how the new the Dreamtex material compares with the older nylon material. Is it much more comfortable? Is it more stretchy ? Is it worth replacing my XLC and RR if the only...
Do you have the dimensions ? Would be interested in making one
What are you using as a hot tent / hot hammock tarp?
Trailblaiser, are you using the WB 11 feet Thunderfly ?
Please post some pictures of your setup later.
The Bonafide EX123 looks like a really cool expedition sit inside kayak. Very stable and great for fishing according to the you tube videos . Congrats on your new purchase
Hopefully it is something he can recover and not something like ALS.
Wish him the best and may he recover back and have a good quality of life!
I think you’re right. It’s most likely a scam
Great price on the haven tent,!

The iPad with cover works perfectly on the hammock Draumr.
Thanks Saltfly, I ordered a 11’ thunderfly on Black Friday but haven’t tried it yet .Glad that it may work with the RR.
[QUOTE=Saltfly;2007019]I use a thunderfly quite a bit. Just enough coverage for some pretty ugly weather, and the size isn’t so big that it becomes a burden. Works fine with the Ridgerunner and...
Thanks for your observations. I also have the XLC. I do like the foot box and the roominess of the blackbird. I will go for the hexon 1.0 chameleon anyhow. I want to try a softer hammock. I hope the...
Thanks Chesapeake for your comments.
I’m 5’ 8” so I’m considering the 1.0 hexon regular size also .
Hi Chesapeake,
Did you get the regular or wide 1.0 Hexon Chameleon hammock? Is your top cover the half moon?
I’m 170 lbs, not sure if I’m to heavy for that fabrics?
Congrats on your New purchase !
Was looking to buy a dreamtex ridgerunner but it’s out of stock
I guess it will have to wait!
Evergreen color superfly tarp for me!
I ‘m looking to get the double layer ridge runner in dark foliage color but it’s not available.
Guess they are out of that material
If you select the internal pole mod, are the internal poles included in the price?
Asked the question on Dutchware gear website but never got an answer
Shug’s video uses a superfly tarp with a center pole mod (looks like that to me). He then puts a trekking pole in the grommet.
I’m not sure you can do that with a non modified superfly tarp ?

I’m not sure you can have a 13 foot tarp on a Tensa stand with poles extensions. I think I will give the Cloudbust a shot. Seems like to be a sure bet
Thanks again
I will order the cloudburst . Thanks CMC4free and Steve for you help.
Thanks Cmc
I have the silpoly thunderfly but I can seem to be able to get a good enough coverage with it.maybe it’s just me and my inexperience .
I’m not sold on the 12 foot tarp . I just assume it was a good compromise between weight & length. I do have an 11 foot superfly and thunder fly but don’t find they cover enough. I also have to...
HDvankirk,
How many internal poles do you have on yourSLD wind haven?
I’m looking to buy a tarp for a WBRR . It need to be functional with a Tensa 4 stand with tarp extensions . I would like to also use it with 11 foot hammocks . I would also prefer a 12 foot tarp over...
I’m looking for advice regarding the configuration of a winter haven tarp for a Warbonnet Ridgerunner. My first concern is the length. I would prefer a 12 foot instead of 13 feet.Reason being is that...
The superfly 13 foot regular 30 nylon goes on sale but 20D poly doesn’t. You need to go custom built just to get the poly material. Is the differences worth the price?
I’m no expert but I did have the same concerns. I opted for durability and went 20d on my 2 diamond back quilts.
I find my Warbonnet DB in 20D very breathable and still feels nice to the touch.
I...
Hi AdamanTO
No I didn't buy it yet. I bought 2 diamond quilts & run out of funds for now . At least that's what my bank manager at home told me
Just got my second Diamondback quilt. Very nice piece of work. I seriously think these quilts are under rated.
Very happy with them
Good to know☺️
I have a 0* on order .😜
For those interested, Shug has a new video where he discusses the new WB Diamondback quilt.

Thanks Cmc4free and Sloanie for explanations and advice. I have the Tensa 4 with the UCR setup.
I haven’t set it up yet as it is still winter here.
As mentioned the tarp extensions are probably...
From a setup perspective how do tarp extensions differ from using REI 6 ft aluminum adjustable poles ?
I know that there’s a slight weight difference. The aluminium poles work ok, but wondering...
After reading the posts above, I think that I will purchase the carbon fiber from loca locura.
I will keep my poles for my tarp setup.
Thanks Handy Randy , Just Bill , for your thorough...
Looking to use hiking poles as spreader bars for the Ridgerunner. I was thinking of the Mountainsmith Fx poles but they’re discontinued.
Any suggestions? I don’t really want to spend 100$ on...
I also ordered mine on Black Friday but quilt still processing !
Looking forward to getting soon!
Great little device!
I have placed an order for an Econ incubator underquilt. Glad to hear that the smelly quilts are issues from the past. Looking forward to my new quilt due in a few weeks
Just received my Warbonnet order. I had the same experience . I got to reseat the clips at the end . I just hope I don't loose them during the stand dismanteling process.
Aside from the clips, the...
That’s great service!
Vanhalo, with that underquilt protector setup on the XLC, do you loose your foot Box?
Just ordered the Diamondback in Camo color 20D polyester inner & outer shell . I checked with the wookie that I have and they’re using 20 D also. I ordered the 60 inch wide as I turn around a lot at...
Just ordered the Tensa stand and the diamondback top quilt !
Now I Could use my hammock setup mostly anywhere along with anew topquilt!
Warbonnet really got their system working very well together as a system. I got their wookie also, fiddle free. Just I was thinking about mix and match with the chameleon.
I currently have a BB XLC rev 2 2018 model with the optional top cover. I plan on getting the underquilt protector so I can attach it to the top cover and thus create a sock system.
My question...
