Brilliant! Great work.
I just saw the quilt shells too, very tempting. But might I recommend that you buy some good down to use in the quilt. The down/feathers combo that you find in old coats will have a ton of...
I've been waiting for these since the double whoopie hooks came out. Thanks Dutch.
Thanks for the campsite info. Any pictures?
FYI I took a cruise through the Willow Springs camp today. None of the individual sites have any trees that u could hang from. Maybe in 5-10 years the trees will be big enough. It looked like group...
I like the location. If anything goes wrong u can just bail out and go home. Any word on how hammock friendly the sites and authorities are?
I don't think it would work. All that length starts to work against u if there is not enough height. Picture 2 trees 15 feet apart and only hanging ur tree straps 3'9". I think ur butt will drag...
My dad had a hammock stand that looked exactly like that one. It was not tall enough to have the proper sag in a 10' table cloth hammock. That style stand is made for the net tippy bridge style...
I was recently the "winner" of a tarp giveaway which involved the winner paying shipping. When I posted "I'm in" I agreed to pay shipping if I won. When I won I paid $5 (ish) and was shipped a very...
Enter me in the giveaway.
Thanks
Umm, genius. Love the single point bridge setup too. Keep it up as always.
I'm in. Thanks.
If I win, I'll take it.
Since seeing the Amok design I have always thought with a few changes and two side by side pads it could become the often asked about "hammock for two". I don't think I have the time or the skills...
These always go fast, this is the first Dutch one I actually got in on.
Is there already a thread about this type of indoor setup??
I may be trying to do something similar soon.
I think there is one left, I'll take it. PM me your Paypal info please.

I have a hands on type job and will not wear a real ring at work. After years of my wife being unhappy about it I found this company. I'm sure there are others doing the same...
What about a Silnylon Bishop bag that could double as an end cap?
Then you can cheat your tarp to the side of the hammock without the end cap.
Interesting idea. I think I'll play with it for a while. I wonder if this could make UCRs less slippery.
I grabbed a backpack when they were on sale for $13. I thought THAT was a steal. Wish I needed another.
This. It feels like it's 3 less steps then the MSH.
Dutch's all in one whoopie hook suspension is the fastest to set up suspension that I have found.
Are you two still planning on doin this? I just found out I may be free Sat night to Sunday. I could make to Channahan around 2 PM sat.
Great trip report. I'm just a car camper/day lounger but reading your report makes me want to give a short backpacking trip a try. Of course the most I ever hiked in a day was 10 mi so I think I've...
Hey. I'm a big fan of you're posts. I'm sad to see you are moving away from hammocking. I always liked copying the ideas you had.
Unreal deal, 11 ft premium hammock at starter hammock price. I will resist the urge in the name of DIY pride.
But in the end I will spend more in materials, mistakes and time making my own.
I made my wife some PVC toggles out of the 1/2 in stuff. It's pretty strong stuff, it has even held when she forgot to hang on the knot not the toggle. I personally like just cutting a couple of...
Wow, I have never seen these. Great idea, I will definitely try these out.
Besides since the Travelon fan that others mentioned has now been recommended by Shug, I have to try it.
Nice, do you have a picture of it broken down?
Thank you for the recommendation. I'll give this one a try. I'd rather it used AAA's but no one seems to make one like that. Oh well, I guess I have to carry to 2 types of batteries in order to...
Last summer I bought a cheap dollar store battery powered fan which ran on 2 AA batteries. I got the idea from these forums. I hung it upside down from my ridgeline to help keep the air moving...
For a few bucks you can get a "loop turner" at wal mart. Look by the knitting stuff. This tools makes splicing easy. In fact, I just used mine today to make a pair of Dynaglide whoopies. Then I...
Thanks, not sure how I missed that.
Titanium or stainless?
Not sure if the sale is for labor day but Inifinity Outfitters has their basic SL hammock on sale for $30 with free shipping. Never bought from them but I entered their tarp giveaway and now I m on...
I ve never had an ENO but I just got an email letting me know that Infintely outfitters is having a sale on their SL parachute hammock. $30 plus free shipping-that seems WOOT cheap. The real...
I'm more of a day lounger/car camper I haven't ever really tried any backpacking or primitive camping. However I have enjoyed camping at Mirror Lake State Park then driving 15 min down the road to...
I'm thinking of getting one of these to cut a couple of foot pads. Has anyone used this website or know about this company? Also how much better is one of these pads compared to the cheapo Walmart...
Not sure if your set on a double layer but if not you should check out Dutch's site. I think his 1.6 argon is around $5 a yard. He also has light weight noseeum for your beg net. Then get some...
My Biners came in the mail today. All are in great shape with no gate issues.
Since joining his forum I always wondered why the group buy section was never used. Now I see that anyone who...
Double table cloth hammock? I used this with success for a while with 300+ lbs in it.
Really great work. I'm thinking of doing something similar. If you get a chance I'd really like more pictures maybe not in porch mode (I have a gathered end). Also I would like to know details...
I have no firsthand experience with those companies but I can tell you a waterproof hammock bottom sounds like a bad idea. It will not breath (see warning on website) and you will sweat. It also...
I'm in but I don't have Facebook or any of that stuff so I guess my chances are limited. Still worth a shot.
