@Angle - No, I have not washed the jacket. No smells so I didn't want to wash it unless I could smell something on it.
@laser - PM sent for payment

Hello,
Selling my MH Ghost Whisperer that I purchased ~2 years ago. It's been worn about a dozen times only in the back-country. No rips/tears/smells and has been stored hanging in my gear closet....
Payment received - closing and moving thread. Will ship Monday AM. Thanks!

Still for sale - it's standard everything - premium quilt, not econ.
Specs from the original sale post (Where I purchased it from)
HG Incubator 10°
Black 90 on the outside
Charcoal Gray on...
Cool - let me know how it works out for you! Huge advocate of just setting it up in your backyard if possible to test out a bunch of different ways to anchor before you get out and freeze to death,...
Hello, looking to sell a HG 10* Incubator that I picked up last year. Has been used a total of 1 night since I purchased. No rips/tears/smells and stored hanging in my gear closet. I believe the...
I just wrap the tie out line around the pole handle a few feet out - at that point, the tensioner is pulled pretty tight so it's not really acting as a tensioner I suppose. I don't however sleep...
I'll let the pros chime in here, but my first thoughts are that the hammock was too short to properly snug up the collars on the UQ or the UQ was adjusted incorrectly. Shug has some really great...
Yeah, I haven't had any issues with porch mode - just use my trekking poles for it. The 'style' I use is from this video:

I do, yeah. Shugs video is awesome. I keep my tensioner right at the tarp tie out points, and they are probably 6 inches long total?

Interesting that you had wind coming in from the bottom of a superfly - I think having to stake it out so far would be why on that one. I've been in some pretty crazy winds in the mountains with a...
I sort of go with a hybrid approach and use my DCF Standard w/doors for 3 season and the WB Superfly for winter camping, but I also had the SF first. If you were buying just one tarp, the WP seems...
Welcome to the forums! I'll second what these guys are saying about getting a hammock from a cottage vendor here. I used a cheapo grand trunk for 2 years and the quality/material differences from the...
Looks great! Love the new colors!
I'll normally just larkshead my headlamp to my ridgeline - but there are some really good ideas in here that I'll need to try out. Headlamp is just so bright, even when dimmed all the way.
Sorry to hear about the divorce. The tree however looks awesome!
Wow, crazy good deal for 79.00!
That's awesome - once you go the TQ route, it's hard to ever want to use a bag again.
Anyone know how waterproof the bag is? I would only be concerned about submersion - I mean, I know that isn't a common thing, just curious how much it would hold out. Great idea though!
Wow, that setup looks awesome!
What is your overall impression of the TQ? Sounds like build quality is excellent and seems to be a good value - anything you wish it had and it didn't?
Looks awesome! Love how many different uses it has
I keep a few of the Costco down throws around for extra warmth when car camping and for general house use - really tough to beat the quality for the price. Not saying you should go that way, but if...
I went from synthetic to down and after moving over to down, I don't think I could ever switch back. My wife thinks I have an addiction to it, lol. I just like the warmth, for the weight - how it...
Looks great! Always cool to see people MYOG.
Congrats on the new hammock! I love hexon!
I've been going with my 8yr old son and doing the spreader bar under a superfly setup. Obviously there is quite a weight difference between him and I. The only things I would change would be to get a...
I just want to know if that is alligator and snakes flavored ice cream? If so, it's probably at least worth a visit!
Thanks - getting ready to order a few more quilts - probably just go with Duck this time around for the cost savings.
HA! Good point
With fillpower being equal - is there any strong reason to go with Goose over Duck or vice versa?
Oh man, just the excuse I need to order some more stuff! Thanks Dutch!
Totally agree with this, doors on my tarp have been the biggest improvement for winter hammocking. I do also use a bit of shock cord on my tie outs for my sil tarps, but that is more my preference -...
Thanks! It seems the common thread here is that with a spreader bar - getting tarp with doors that close on the head end probably just won't happen
I'm always amazed at those that can come up with new fabrics - I just picture like this mad scientist in his office late at night, yelling to his assistant 'Pass me 1/4 yard of Hexon!.... now to add...
Ha! Totally agree with less stuff to trip over! Does it help with any sway or are they really just there to help spread the hammock out?
Thanks for reviewing - great seeing that many hammocks reviewed in one video. One question for you - I've never had a hammock with the tie outs (Currently just use a Hexon Netless as I don't need...
Thanks PlusOne - I was thinking of getting a 13ft long tarp - do you think the extra foot would have made a difference at all?
Thanks! The winter haven is absolutely massive
I've been backpacking with my kids more lately and using Dutch's spreader bar/beetle buckles to hang them from a single tree. I've used my Superfly in the past with it, but I don't get great closure...
The pictures I've posted are the tarp in mesh skins, inside the stuff sack. While it could probably be compressed a little further, it just doesn't like to be compressed as much as sil.
Construction looks great! Do you have any issues falling asleep in something that bright?
Hey, I'm 5'6" and I used to be ~215 (coughs harder). I have both wide and regular quilts. The wide I like because I'm a side sleeper, but I don't have any issues with a regular. I prefer the wides in...
Looks good! Braver than I am for taking on that project!
I'm a big 10-30 fan - enjoy that cool air
Yeah, this time of year I'll normally go with the Superfly for the space savings and extra coverage. I've also really enjoyed your videos shug, helped me grow a ton as a backpacker. I'll check out...
For some additional comparisons, heres my HG DCF 11ft with doors vs my WB Superfly.170743

Totally makes sense - I suppose it's easy to forget where I came from (Taking an airplane roller backpack on my first backpacking trip, a loaf a bread and some peanut butter) all those years ago. I...
