Yes it will.
I went back and forth between 10' and 11'. Being as I am only 5'4" I figured I would be comfortable with a 10', but in the end I stuck with what I knew I was comfortable with. Tough to get a good...
After months of thinking about a hammock with an integrated bugnet, I spent some Christmas cash and ordered an 11’ Dark Olive Hexon 1.6 Trail Lair from Simply Light Designs. And like others have...
Well... I've had this on my schedule for months now... looking forward to a cooler weather hang with a bunch of greta people. I was also waiting to see if my current seminary class work would...
I use Mule tape for my backyard suspension system (Becket Hitch to continuous loops). For backpacking, I use 10' Dutch Kevlar straps (again Becket Hitch to continuous loops). both have held up well...
Are you sure? Could it be Maple Sugar Bacon smell?
Use a Kelty Noah 9 with great success with my DIY "Hammeck-like" stand.
I like the name! We were rather "Slothy" at times. Looking forward to the November Gluttony Hang.
Thanks to a great group of hammock hangers! You welcomed this stranger into the group, and offered me way too much great food and bacon, good conversation and bacon, laughter and bacon. You each...
FWIW... I will be bringing my hammock stand. So, if needed I can hang without trees.
Brats and Dogs are in my food group. I'll bring some along.
Been stalking this post for a while now. I plan to attend. Will arrive Thursday evening, and leave Saturday noonish! I will bring some wood to donate to the fire, and assorted food and snacks to...
Okay here's my short response...

Welcome from Kent City. Up North is my favorite place!
My CRL for hex tarp is 30'
I use shock cord and connect the doors on the inside to the tie out on the opposite end of the tarp. I hope that answer is slightly clearer than mud.
I may be the odd ball here, but i am 5'4" and I am very comfortable in my 9' Hexon hammock. With an 80 percent fixed ridge line, I have no calf ridge issue.
Blessings,
Kevin
Okay Dutch whats the scoop with these? And, with they work with Kevlar straps?
Thanks for sharing your story.
Michalny,
I am 5'4" and use the Greylock 3. Works perfect for me just as you described... go for it and save the additional weight in your pack.
Welcome from the Western side of the state.

Kevin
What SloGo said.
Not knowing if you are a warm sleeper or a cold sleeper, and if you are backpacking or car camping, I can only give you my suggestion. I would get the 20* quilt unless weight is a huge issue. It's...
Dirt wheels was being serious, UGQ does rent under quilts.
Thanks for the review, pictures, and inspiration. Hoping to make one of these with 11' ridge line.

Kevin
I wish I could join you folks... but I have this every Sunday gig I responsible for. But, my vacation starts Monday and I plan to spend Monday night in the pines near Eddington Creek, and Tuesday...
Nope. No need for them. As Shug said... cinches up real nice. I'm very happy with my Greylock 3... pull the trigger... you won't be sorry.
Gotta love how you market new products...
Best NCT maps come direct from the trail office in Lowell Michigan. you can order them online fairly cheap since you are a NCT member.
I use a Fronkey-style bug net, and I have had many great bug free nights here in Michigan.
Thanks for the great report. Planning to much of this trail section the 1st week in September.
It sounds to me like you are looking for loop trails? One thought might be to include more of the NCT in that area in your MRT loop. That, however, would require you to backtrack some of the same...
Yes, it will
Received my first order from Dutch to day. Just wondering... is there an opening ceremony I should perform?
This is the recipe I use to tick & mosquito-proof all my hiking clothing, hammock, and bug net.

Not sure if your car camping, or backpacking, but my favorite place to get away for a day or two hike is to jump on the North Country Trail at 40th Street (north of Newaygo). Plenty of great places...

Welcome from just up the road in Kent City.
Tom,
There is a YouTube video made by a young man that solo hiked that section in 2011. if you'd like to watch that search YouTube for "Solo hike the North Country Trail" I am dreaming real hard...
It gets very mixed reviews on Amazon. I'd stay clear of this product.
I've been lurking here for awhile. Looking to make the switch from tents to hammock. For this season I will probably use DIY gear.
