I think it is a great time to do a little fine tuning on your gear. I have mine setup in the basement, good time to clean it out and try different positions to find the optimal sleep location.

I have not tried this but Dave Canterbury shows how to use a yoga mat and reflex to combat the cold. I am going to try this before purchasing an under quilt.
