I may try to make this one.
Really hoping for one that is wider than the ridgerunner. I bought one a ridgerunner, got in it and realized my shoulders are too wide. The big guy bridge is nice but i dont like bug nets that dont...
Its got the new loops spliced into the amsteel. Its the exact hammock you would receive if you ordered from warbonnet today. Its only a few days old.
Ive got a Double Layer Warbonnet RidgeRunner with net up for sale. I just got it in the mail from Warbonnet on Friday. I got in it and immediately noticed my shoulders are too wide for it (Im 6'3"...
It was an awesome first hang for me and Tac. Thanks everyone!!!!
I will be leaving and heading that way around noon-ish tomorrow (3.5 hr drive). This will be my first hang. I may bring a friend. Unsure if he can come but he will if his work schedule cooperates.
Sold Pending Funds
When im wiring vehicles i use a shrink tubing with glue in it. When it shrinks, the glue sticks it to the wire.
Still for sale
I got it from paracord planet. Ive bought from quite a few places and he seems to have some of the stronger stuff. Also, I have past experience with marine grade shock cord and it is good stuff. I...
The best thing ive found is to put a Lineloc 3 on it to find how long you need it. It allows complete adjustability. Once you find your ideal length, remove the Lineloc3 and tie a knot. In the...
I like the ranger band idea. Gonna look around and see if I can find something that will work.
I wish there were a version that would capture the tarp loop to prevent it from coming off of the Nama Claw in transit. I put electrical tape over it so it would come loose while in the snakeskin.
How do you not get cold spots with the 20? Ive got two 40's and two 10's. Ive never been able to keep from freezing with the 10's. Ive got a 10 in symmetrical and one in assym. Neither allows me...
Theres no serious reason why you shouldn't use hard shackles. They work and if its a semi permanent hammock that you dont carry for distance, there's no real reason why you shouldn't use them. ...
I use lash-it with Nama claws on my sons superfly like they suggest and it works perfectly. To this day, Nama Claws are the only tarp attachment system ive found that have never slipped.
Ive got a 40 degree underquilt on order with Loco Libre using the synthetic UP insulation.
Im getting ready to order a Ghost Pepper in either 40º or 50º. Im wanting to hear what others think about whether a Neck Draft Collar is beneficial at these temp. I have a Draft Collar on my 20º...
There isn't a price increase. Choose "800 Down" and ask for "UP Insulation" in the order notes. The lead time remains the same.
I was going to build my own but i also realized the cost of the material for DIY is very close to the cost of finished product from hammock gear. I bought their palace tarp. The big issue for me was...
Ok. Thanks. Yes its still available. Bump
I just talked my wife into going next year. I cant wait!!!
I shop for all things outdoors. Im an overlander so my truck is built for long trips in remote locations but I enjoy hiking civilized trails and also backcountry camping too. I do primitive...

Do you ever attend any of the Alabama hangs? Ive done Cheaha a bit. Its only a tad over an hour from me. I prefer sipsey but its a 3.5 hour drive for me. Cheaha allows me to do single night trips...
I received my 20d tarp Friday and tried it out this weekend. Its not a superfly but its a 1.1 oz 20d silpoly. I like it. Its weird but in-hand it feels like it would be more durable than silnylon....
Possibly. Ive got plans of trying it. The string lights without the sheathing are about the same size as zing-it or lash-it so it can definitely be spliced into 7/64 amsteel. Im very curious what...
Looking for guys that hammock camp and are local to Auburn AL. I dont know anyone in this area that is into hammocks.
The 13' Winter Dream XL that I ordered came in today. It came about 2 weeks earlier than I was expecting. I have only had a chance to hang it up in my shop and add the guy lines to it but my first...
Ive been wanting to figure out a way to hang in my back yard for about a year. I was anchoring to my sons swing set and then to the house. It was a terrible angle because it was a 41' stretch. As...
Im in the same boat. Im waiting on a 20d silpoly tarp now. I dont really trust its durability although Ive never used silpoly. Im just going off of what ive heard (Its not as durable as silnylon)....
I know this is an old post but Im curious about your Nama Claws. Do you use them on your guy lines, and if so, how? Are they attached to your tarp or are they attached to your stakes? Ive got some...
I cannot sleep on my back in bed but im about a 50/50 back/side sleeper in a hammock. I have the chameleon with symmetrical net and top cover and it worked. I now use asym hammocks (Sparrow and...
The Underquilt can extend beyond the hammock body. It usually doesn't though since the hammock is 64" wide. I also dont tie out the hammock when using an Underquilt colder than 50º because the...
I have a Dark Olive WIDE Chameleon up for sale. It is a Single Layer made with Hexon 1.6. The hammock comes with a Symmetrical Bug Net AND a Symmetrical Winter Top Cover. Also included is a...
Ive considered cutting the quilt down so that only insulation is there....like remove the excess material on the end. Its basically an Underquilt protector with insulation sewn to it.
I dont have any pics of the quilt on the hammock but I do have one from when I was doing the clew. The quilt is 7.5 oz Apex.

I have 10 kamsnaps per side with 1/16" shock cord.
Yeah ive been doing everything I can and nothing seems to work. Every suspension has gone looser and tighter and everywhere in between. Im thinking its just a bad idea to have a 57" wide Underquilt....
Both of my Dream Hammocks are MTN fabric. I love it. Double layer 1.2 for the Sparrow and single layer 1.7 for the Darien. Permethrin works great. I try to use it during summer months.
I cant say for sure but I didn't want to take the chance.
I did the mod myself. In Alabama we have ninja mosquitos so I wanted a complete zip-able bug net.
Warbonnet Superfly without grosgrain along the perimeter and with grosgrain along the Ridgeline. Ive not had any issues.

I have plans of doing the same thing except its difficult making myself hike outside of Cheaha Wilderness. The wilderness is the second best place to backcountry camp in Alabama. Sipsey is the...
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get a 57" wide Underquilt without a draft baffle to seal? Ive tried everything. Still have lots of cold spots below the waist. Ive played around with my...
I have been meaning to post this mod since last winter but have continually forgotten. I see tons of people adding string lights to their Ridgeline. Ive experimented with tons of them and all have...
As anyone who has a Darien knows, the only negative to the Darien is you cant unzip both sides and adjust your Underquilt. I figured I would remedy that. I installed a 36" zipper on the side that...
Maybe Tenacious Tape? Ive used some on my silpoly and silnylon tarp and it seems to hold fine.
They are K5 KamSnaps. The head is 1/2" if I remember correctly.
If you're referring to the snaps on my Dyneema tarp, It is 2.92 oz dyneema. The bottom layer of the fabric is dyneema while the top layer is woven fabric. It looks like grosgrain in the pic though....
