I use 6" zing-it dogbones. I know some others use zing-it with a couple loops, I think at between 3-6" and then at 9-12" for different conditions/configurations.

6'1" here and a big +1 on the 11 footers

I never use the original stuff sack...Just slide on the snake skins, fold them over to about a foot long, wrap the suspension around it to keep it bundled, then strap it to the outside of my pack..

I' a side sleeper and have done so successfully in both my HH explorer and my DH roaming gnome. The gnome is longer and wider and is definitely more comfy...

I love my RG...I had the same concerns about the single zippers. I just had DH add extra zipper pulls to each side and it works great. Thanks Papasmurf!

My advice would be to set it up and hang in it for a couple nights...then start tweaking it from there...who knows? you may love it just like it is. There are as many different setups as there are...
