How does it sleep?
Which machine did you get?
Gotta go 11’. Way better than eno
As do I, it was a serious storm
Interesting review, thanks
I’ll have to check that out. What’s the weight?
You e got me thinking hard about a ridgerunner!
A good base layer can be an affordable way to flex your temp comfort
DEET is a plasticizer, so typically doesn’t mix well with synthetics
I’m in the same situation....XLC or Ridgerunner?
Good to know thanks
I just picked up an Econ burrow 20, so should be up and running
Can’t wait to see the reviews!
Welcome! You’ll learn a lot - I know I have
We fared pretty well up here in the metro fortunately
Lots of good venues up here, where did you play?
Thanks for the heads up! I’m headed into the cohutta off trail that weekend or I’d come check it out. Spent many weekends camping at raven cliffs and going into town to watch college football games...
Indeed, but just barely. I’m on the far west side of ATL, you?
i'm in this dilemma now - i feel comfortable in my dutchware netless standard width, and the same hammock in wide. i'm still not sure if the wide is measurably comfortable or not...
Evening all, been lurking on here a long while, just thought I'd chime in and say hey and thanks for all the advice I've been able to glean from here as I transitioned to hanging in the woods from...
Same here in ATL - huge stock when I went through yesterday
Great responses thank you all. I’ll try a smaller pillow in my next hang, if that doesn’t work I’ll check out a slightly heavier fabric. Will advise how it works out
Excellent, mine is almost two and I’m already chomping at the bit to get her out on a trip
Excellent! I’d recommend practicing a night or two in the backyard before your trip, so you learn what works and what doesn’t before you’re out on the trail
There’s more hammockers every time I go out - saw two others the last time I walked through the cohutta wilderness in n Georgia. Didn’t have a chance to chat them up unfortunately
Ditto
I’d start with an affordable netless hammock to start testing out hanging, to see if you like it. I went that route with a dutchware netless and have been very pleased
Also, good tip on sleeping in he hammock ahead of a trip to get ‘re conditioned’, thanks
I keep mine in a sea to summit stuff sack. I leave the Dutch hook on the CRL sticking out so that I can rig it straight from the stuff sack. Tent stakes are rolled up in my tyvek l floor
Great to know - I’ll give a smaller pillow a shot. It would be a big win if that fixes it
Thanks - maybe I just need some more nights above ground
Yeah, I created a profile a long time ago, and only recently started hanging more frequently- just started legitimately sleeping in a hammock in the woods a few months ago. Been spending most of my...
Thanks - couple clarifying comments:
I do sleep on the diagonal, on my back
I typically use a decent sized pillow (Nemo fillo)
Feet higher than head is a good suggestion- I’ll give that a shot
Hey all, when I camp I sleep in a standard dutchware netless in 1.6 hexon. Sometimes I wake with a decent amount of back pain in between my shoulder blades, sometimes I sleep like a baby with no...
Well, I added another 5 star review for good measure
Looks great
Awesome, looks amazing
nice, thanks!
If you’re close enough to gain warmth, you’re close enough to melt your gear
Or a close cropped haircut !
Agree with silvrsurfr, hammocking takes time to get used to. Make sure you have a good diagonal lay and give it some time
Nice! HG does it again
