I actually changed it to 9 baffles and 20% overstuffed. Little over 2 oz /baffle. Started sewing today.

Anyone have thoughts on vertical vs horizontal baffles?

Thanks Brian!
I've started my own build thread.
How many baffles do you think? Vertical or horizontal?

I realize this is an old thread but,
Can anyone tell me if any of the calculators were accurate for a winter rated UQ?

I started this trip in Kingston, Ontario, with a plane ride from K town to Toronto then Toronto to Victoria on Sat Sept 22.
I was lucky enough to have a long lost friend (from elementary school...

Just completed my 5 day solo hike of the WCT on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada.
I started Sept 23 to the 28th and I managed to hang all five nights.
The West Coast Trail, originally called the...
Worked fine here.
Bob
You, my friend, are a Great dad!
Thanks for the smile your video gave me.
Bob
I just seal seamed with silicone . I did the inside looks And the outside grosgrain. No leaks since and I used it alot this spring.
I've made another tap with loops since. I dipped the loops in...
Welcome from Kingston Ontario
Bob
Looks like a great concept.! The issue is, as previously mentioned, the non diagonal lay. This could easily be addressed, I think, through minor changes in design. I might be interested after...
Add May for three of three.

Nice setup!
Love the tarp and no cat cut simplicity.
Great job!
Bob
We were in the Cedar Lk area this past weekend. Wind, rain, cold and buggy. Having almost 40 yrs experience with Algonquin Interior, I bow to your fortitude! This will have been an epic trip!...
I did contact them.
Lawson does seem interested in fixing this issue. Doesn't help me for this trip but he has expedited shipping so I have my order for the next one.
I'll comment more once I...
Edit
Bob
My experience with Lawson is pretty poor.
Pursed two weeks ago. Got a shipment email May 4 and today the email me to tell me their out of stock?
Poor customer service.
Bob
Great idea but I don't see the adhesive lasting very long.
Kam snaps would be just as simple and would only cost about $12 with enough snaps for several projects.
Let us know how you made out. ...
Still don't see how it relates to a hammock specific forum? Also don't think making desparaging remarks about the membership is a good way to encourage positive feedback. ...
I personally have...
Odd response for someone looking for tent help on a hammock forum?

I just free handed it.

Beauty eh!
Bob
I'm stealing your Gif. ..
Oh , and welcome!
Bob
I don't think you'd want it any wider than the xl fabrics. To much floppy material with the excess.
Bob
Yes, you did. I was just not lining the pull up correctly. Works now and have installed on my son's hammock. I think it will work great!
Bob
Looks awsome!
I'd already got some silnylon 2nds.
Looking forward to trying with the nylon. I didn't find the poly to slippery. The rolled hem was a pain though. Just have to walk away and...
Where I camp a bugnet is not an option. I use an intigrated zip off bug net. When I don't need the net, I don't bring it. Only leaves me with half a #3 coil ,or #5 teeth depending on which...
Got my trip coming up in three weeks.
Thanks for getting me all excited!
Bob
Quite aware. But those are a fixed length and to short for my use. I have used the 240" version from RSBTR but I would like #3 coil zipper over the # 5 toothed zipper. The coil is more...
Thank you very much. Little less pretty after my cat attacked it. ....
Anyway, I don't have a scale. It's 14×18" .344 Easton poles (minus 12") & 4 tips. Must be a calculator somewhere. .seems...
Thanks. Lucky to live where I do.
Love the function of the poles.
Bob
Ok, I'm an idiot. Didn't realize the zipper pull has a top and a bottom. ..
Bob
Another attack cat.
Looks evil [emoji12]
How is putting holes in my tarp a "good thing"?
Bob
Here is the offender, looking all innocent.
Named DC "Dumb Cat".
More respectible pet in the background.

Not my style. Our other cat is declawed but he arrived that way.

He's lucky I'm not finding out. ..
Ha! Fur hat.
I know what I wanted to do. ..
Holes are small and at the bottom of the tarp. Think I'll just try some thinned sylicon.
Bob
Love my pets BUT I could have killed the cat when it wanted to attack the guy line on my new tarp. .....
Hi Tacblades.
Love your projects to date.
I'm having issues with this one though. When I cut the zipper the tape rips when I try to feed it into the pull.
How do you cut your zipper? Any...
Nice tarp!

Looks good!
