I always get up walk at least 20 feet away! Yes other animals pee all over the woods, but I would not want to step in a fresh ish puddle of my own urine when I get out of the hammock or make my...

If you have the room slide the suspension further up the tree, it won't change your angle, but should give you a taller seat hight.

Awesome, congrats, Hennessy was also my first hammock!
It wasn't an option yet with mine
I didn't like the way the hammock fitted inside the bug net and uqp, so I sent the uqp to 2qzq, she removed the zippers added shock cord down the sides with cord locks and loops of grograin on each...
I use a regular leash for the hike, then they are just free when I get to my site, never run more than about a hundred yards, they also just stay under my hammock over night. If there are lots of...
I am definitely on the list for a calendar?!
I have noticed that backpacking has gotten more "trendy"for lack of a better word. It is hard to find places that are undisturbed. I packed some scouts in to a beautiful lake. When we're got there,...
I agree with you!

I purchased wb underquilt protector, it was very baggy and I didn't like losing the foot box when zipped on. I sent it to 2qzq and they removed the zipper. They sewed the end ties into loops, where...

I put long grabber screws at an angle across corners in a small bedroom and strung up my tarp, the screws are plenty strong if you don't put weight on them, I used flowable silicone and let it dry...
My superfly just sat in the rain for 2 days straight in my back yard. It is silpoly and it was bone dry inside, took it down shook it off and hung it in the garage, turned on a box fan on low and it...
Sorry "Shugs" not songs
Have you tried setting up at home, to dial it in? If you haven't already, you should read ther book "The Ultimate hang 2", watch all of songs videos on hammock set up and underquilt adjustments.
You tube has lots of great videos showing the set up you are questioning
I really like the video also, beautiful!
The "sil" stands for silicone, the material is impregnated with silicone to make it Waterproof.
You could go with beatle buckles from dutch, those come off very easily from the hammock without removing the straps from the wall anchors.

I agree with the flowable silicone that is what I used on my superfly.

I use a small caribeaner though a hole in the hinge with 550cord to a stake in the ground, with a trucker's hitch. It makes it rock solid

Lots of places to hang and get away within a hour or so of Boise, the fair is in Garden city. Not allot of camping in the city. There is an RV park within a mile of the fair grounds.

I just slept last night around 35°F with a 20° Wookie and a CDT for my top quilt and the only thing I did was sew the footbox, not seem ripped. I wore a long sleeve under armour and fleece pajama...
