Is Hoh Lake or Lunch Lake hangable? Looking to do the Seven Lakes Basin loop soon.
How did your hike go? I'm planning on going in Sept and was also wondering about hang issues.
I think we are going to push through from Marion to Alaska basin and camp there. Have a permit for the canyon though.
Someone said there was good trees in the valley below Lake Solitude. I have...
We'll be kicking around the night of the 7th after we get off the trail and all day on the 8th. Where's your restaurant at?
That'd be awesome. Thanks for the offer. Still working out logistics and how many folks are going. We might end up renting two cars, thus making the shuttle a easier.
I'll be watching the weather closely and coming up with alternative plans. Can't wait.
Trying to decide on the Basins or Sunset lake. Any suggestions?
Even if your legs do rest against it, it's non irritating as long as it's lined up right and that's easy to do.
Sorry for the delay.

As you can see, only the very end of the footbox has the tape exposed, the rest of it is covered by excess fabric. Hope that sorta helps.
No issues snagging so far. I also use merino bottoms. It lines up well. I'll try to get a pic of the inside.
At the current price, the JRB is a pretty good deal.
Doh!
Fixed it. Thanks!

Looking for a HG Burrow 20* or something similar. Ideally 800+ fill, sized regular. Planning on waiting for their next holiday sale, but if someone wants to part with theirs...
Such a good bag. I still use mine after 18ish years.
Worked perfectly.
That gave me an idea. I took two pieces of shock cord and tied each end to the tab to create a loop. I attached the end of the loop to the suspension carabiner and used a microbiner to help hold...
I just picked up a 0* EE Revelation quilt with the primary use as an UQ and secondary as a TQ if I need to go to the ground. I need ideas how to set it up as an UQ (how are you attaching it to your...
I'll take it
Thanks. Got some good info on there. As well as bear mongering (bear burrito mentality:rolleyes:)
I plan on doing the first week. Beat most of the summer crowd and hopefully have some decent weather.
Plan on doing the TCT in Sept. Any hang issues? Thinking about Marion Lake, Death Canyon or Alaska Basin and one more. I've heard North Fork around Solitude Lake is sparse but Holly Lake is probably...
Thanks guys.
My GF is 5'3 and I want to get her a UQ, but I was thinking she might be able to use a 3/4 instead without the need to put a pad underneath her feet.
Any vertically challenged folks do this?
It's still being beta tested. It's not on the market yet.
Not a rumor. It works pretty well. Hope he doesn't mind me posting a screen cap:

Amazon has em for $144. Tempting to try out and return if I don't like it.
That's the Ikea GÅRÖ hammock stand. I did a mod on it to so I could add my fly:

Got the Netted one yesterday. They are using those locking chain links now instead of the hooks. Not bad at all for $25. I'll be buying another when it comes back around again(unless someone wants to...

Post count isn't high enough on WB and I haven't found the need to buy a subscription to BPL yet. Though I probably should.

The pic of your route is too small to see where you are going. I went in May and hiked up Little Yosemite Valley. I hung right along the Merced at the base of Bunnell cascades. From what other...
Someone asked via IM, it weights 8.15oz by my scale.

Awesome! That helps.
Thanks.
I run stairs with 75 lbs for work often. I'm pretty sure I can handle them. Thanks for the input on the bus.
I got it back in Dec. The hard part was trying to get a campground for 3 days while I'm out there for a class. Thanks for the link.
I'm planning on doing a 2 day, 1 night trip to Yosemite in a few weeks. I already have my permit, but am looking at doing this:

I have the fly in the snakeskin still. I didn't get a picture of it deployed. I have space next to my deck for staking it. I wasn't...
The tubes have folds on the backsides so they slide in and fit together. There's no easy way to slide a generic extension tube on it.
