Any meat will do. I would use something with a little more fat content. Venison is very lean.

I’ll be up in Potter County trout fishing that week (24th to 2nd). Was thinking about doing OLT that weekend myself. I am in for 30th- 2nd.

Unfortunately I will not be able to go on the new dates. I was looking forward to this hang you all have fun and I will see you on the next one.:)

Last month had some friends over to. One ask about the hammock so I set it up and showed him how not to get into a hammock :)

Been a little preoccupied 4th in and 1st official hang away from home. Trout fishing trip in VA had some sun some rain some fish and good company.

Familyman can you tell me what parking lot we will use. A friend of mine lives just over the NC line mite stop by Saturday .

Tarps and lines packed almost ready to go not that I am excited or anything. The last time in the woods over night was in October been to long.

Got my 3rd night in didn’t sleep well it was raining. Haven’t been in the rain in awhile , but I did not need the pad low was around 38*.

I’ll be at Ole Bull state park in Potter Co the whole week trout fishing.

A friend of mine and his dog might join us. He doesn’t fish but he is a hiker if the dog comes they will be using a tent.

Doesn’t matter to me I can make a deer stew that is not bad if I do say so myself.

Ok, I did try to change my weekend but it was a no go. Set a time and place to meet up when it gets closer. I’ll have to get a license I have everything else. I hope others will join.

2nd night in the hammock. Had to work Saturday got home about 9 and went out back started a fire set up the hammock smoked a cigar had a beer it got down to 24* it was a great night.

Early March is good for me. I am off 7th to the 11th, that would give me time to drive down and back home

Keeping an eye on the weather don’t mind a little snow don’t mind the cold so much but a lot of snow or cold and rain ...

Water level can be ify from mid July on. However May and June for the most part is good. I have been reading on the section you mentioned and that sounds like a nice trip. How about camping spots.

I was thinking of doing the section between Luray and Bentonville a 28 mile run with camping on the Left bank on state land. However I am open to new options.
