I have a like new older version of the Warbonnet Blackbird XL double layer in olive. Includes netting, tree straps, carabiners, and stuff sack. This hammock was used about 3 nights and is in...
Got any photos?
I like the dutchware spider straps
I have access to an Instron Electro-mechanical test rack. If anyone would like to put any of these systems to a static pull test I can arrange that. Just PM me.

Just Bill,
If I ever need another Bridge you are the one Im calling. Great sense of the product!
We stayed at Timber ridge just outside of town and loved it there lots of trees.
I was sweating through my clothes in 65F with a three season this weekend. Had to unlcip the UQ. I slept great after that.
Well apparently 65F overnight was not cool enough for me to use this quilt. It was a perfect fit but sometime around the wee hours of the morning I was soaking wet with sweat and had to unhook the...
Ordered a Ridgcreek XL on Monday received it on Thursday! I was anticipating at least two weeks and that was an incredible turn around time. I have been invited on an overnight tomorrow so hope to...
Welcome to the hangout!
You give me hope that me Webelo will make to Troop! I hope to do these things with him but alas, sports are pulling him another direction.
My grandparents had one like that. The cousins and I would wrap our arms and legs in the webbing and flip the hammock over see who could hang on.
My 10yo sleeps in a clone every night for several years. I also keep one in the truck for picnics and parks.
I want that boat! what a nice fishing platform. Hammock hang aint so bad either!
So their site has it listed at 284cm or 9'3". Glad you posted this as I was going to get my son one for crossover into Troop.
Just an FYI the HH Scout is 10'9 and holds 200lbs so its a great setup for even an adult of smaller stature.
At 5'3 115 she could def use a youth hammock. I think Hennessy makes a very affordable Scout Zip for 5'8 200lb. Also comes with rainfly for $99.
As a father of a girl scout I got to go on a "Dads Cook" weekend as a volunteer in the kitchen. Had a blast with my daughter and her friends. Been to BSA campouts many a nights its what got me into...
I had one go off about a foot outside my tent once. Nearly lost a good sleeping bag!!!!
Great photos! Thanks!
I would pay the $60 for the shelf
There are those that get caught up on every gram. As long as my base is less than 15lbs Im GTG. As I stand my base is around 12lbs with the RR and factory bars. I ok with the trade off on the...
Did you get the 3/4 or full length? Curious as to what you think about it after your outing.
Now that is a light base!
Great Thanks!
Honestly the weight with the dutch straps/beetle buckles is about the same as my black bird a few ounces are worth the comfort though. Id say my pack weight is light but will never be ultralight. ...
I'm a side sleeper only and the rr feels like a mattress on my side.
What tensor size/shape do you have?
Never happened in any of my GE hammocks. The Black bird was the most comfy and I could lay in it all day reading a book but never slept deeply enough to feel rested.
First nap in the RR yesterday after work. Bought it from a forum member here. So easy to hang and get setup with the beetle buckles and straps. Got in laid flat on my side and woke up 45 minutes...
Bought one of these years ago at Sportsmens Warehouse. 10 oz luxury item I wont go without.
...
Any plans to reschedule?
Ill give it a go in the yard and see how it does. May end up trading up to a proper fitting one down the road just hoping to get more use out of the one I have.
That pattern almost blends perfectly with surroundings
Well that is true. I dont have the RR in hand yet. Maybe sleeping in the yard next weekend.
Does anyone use, or have used a yetti with any success on the Ridgerunner? I have a yetti from my BB and have recently aquired a RR was hoping to use the yetti with it so as not to have to buy...
I have the same problem with GE just cant quite get that deep sleep and constantly waking up. I have bought a gently used RR from a member here I am going to try out. If that doesnt work Im back on...
Thanks. Look forward to seeing the pics.
I am pondering one looks like a great setup
Def an interesting design based on photos of it.
How does this work as far as temps go?
Yeah Id be more concerned with the post hitting me than me hitting the ground.
Thanks for the advice!
I have an XLC Double layer in Olive. One night and several hangs in the backyard mint non smoking household. It is not the newest version though it was bought in 2017 has webbing and buckle...
Like title says looking for a gently used well taken care of Ridge Runner double layer with bug net. Not concerned with suspension type but prefer buckles.
Let me know.
