Are you using that in the XL Shug? Or the original Draumr?

I think that this is a great idea, but... The bigger problem to "go low" will be the insulation provided by the pad for winter camping. Its only rated to 25 degrees. You will have to supplement...

Lots of options not too far from home. I hang a lot in the Sacramento’s. Cloudcroft is wonderful at 8000+ ft. The Guadelupe’s offer some beautiful spots but hanging trees are a bit sparse.

Welcome from another West Texas hanger. Glad you could join us!

I’d be interested for sure... just to get the ball rolling, I would suggest something near Durango or Pagosa Springs in the San Juan’s. I would suggest that Late August or Early September be a...
I don’t think quilting will significantly impact Apex’s ability to insulate. It is marketed as needing minimal quilting or non at all depending on the application. I think for clothing, you don’t...

Well, my “bucking bronc” has turned into a perfectly mannered “Western Pleasure pony”... I have no idea why I never considered this an option. Thanks Shug and Tikker for saving the day.

So, I have to start by saying, I love both of these products. I was an early adopter of the Tensa 4 stand and use it primarily for camping off the back of my motorcycle (it works fantastically). I...
Definitely no damage to the long valley group camping area, lots of burn all around it, some maybe intentional but I would guess a lot was a result of the wild fire.
Good news for the hang...
So, I’m camping near there tonight. The fire mostly ran across the ground. I doubt very much that it made it as far a Long Valley.
I’m camped about a mile west of our hang location on FR 147....
Did you make it back up there? Was there much fire damage?
