I’d say heavy duty chain down to a amsteel loop larksheaded then caribiner
Or no amsteel loop and caribiner direct to chain - easy on easy off
Any updates on this ?
Can I use my 8 foot wooden tensahedron I made
Curios as to where my crossing points would be on 8 foot
180675Yes it is just hiked it Friday
I have the hammock gear Journey on order so this really help.
I’ll do it on my living room floor and do both sides like you did
How’s it holding out?
They’re all 8 foot design ,one is wooden 2x2’s so I’ll mess around with that one until I can get some 10 foot 2x4’s
I had to model one outta some shiskabob sticks

This might be better then turtledog which I have in my room
I also have 3 diy tensahedron stands
What intrigues me is the stability of this design and the free standing aspect
Home Depot here...
I almost feel guilty ordering during these times but I want the xenon winter tarp with doors so I can get it off my bucket list
Thanks for what your doing for your community Dutchware!!
This is exciting stuff Dave
I just bought a guide gear wood stove and made a teepee
Not hammockable but is fun
Made my own stove jack
Will be more of a wind shelter at my campsite
I have the Dutch asym from kit and it’s a summer light rain kinda tarp
I’ve been in wind and rain in it and the tieouts are essential
I really want one with doors for all the other weather...
I love that it’s perfectly ripe!
Here’s mine for a fronkey style winter cover
I don’t use it in the winter though because I have the Dutch chameleon and use the winter cover that comes with it,
but it really makes a difference on...
I have the 10 foot mesh version 176147
It’s a tight fit and I’m going to extend one of the sides a few inches
This is so I can have everything top quilt and underquilt and chameleon hanging all...
I did this on a Walmart cheapy fleece
Worked great for summer porch hang

Pictured rocks
Do the chapel lake loop 10 miles
One of Michigan’s best hikes all along the high cliffs
Then paddle miners beach

I use the green Rerod stakes Home Depot sells I believe for a buck or two and a dollar store mallet to pound it in
I swipe away the dry sand also before pounding
I use Derek Hanson’s version170263
Thanks Trinity for the review
Look out Black Friday !
got my thread injector a year ago and I'm still going strong !
went to research Dutches asylum wide kit to refresh my memory and cut my reinforcements and the link to pics and measurements not workingFYI
Sad indeed !
Doh I missed this one
I also keep a “sacrificial hammock in my trunk
It’s an 11 foot diy 4 dollar special I made from Walmart nylon
It dual layer
I keep a Walmart blue pad and a Wally World 40 degree sleeping bag in...

I bought 4 of these so I can break mine down for my trunk
They work great!167585
Ok he’s warm and cozy

My autumn hammock
Saw 4 in 30 minutes
Going back tonight
Clear skies all weekend here in west MICHIGAN
Supposed to be great this weekend peaking Sunday night
Perfect excuse to use that turtledog stand or tetrahedron stand
What’s cool is that first night you sleep all the way to sunup
That’s what got me addicted

I really like it with lime green Mara
Yeah great work and your using my favorite color “ coyote brown”:)!
Same here although I bust out the incubator 20 on super cold winter temps
Small pillow between knees is my trick , keeps my boney ankles apart for comfort
It’s my only hammock pet peeve
Yes I love it on my hiking hat and shoes
Most days I don’t need additional bug spray although I bring it
You’ll get it just in time for autumn
Well worth the wait!
Connectors are still working great
Even held my son at 290 lbs 3/4 in conduit stand
Looking at the 1 inch open l fittings
Will they work?
And still support up to 290 ?
Was thinking using 1 inch on everything including top rail
Home Depot will cut them free for me
I’d go for the bipod stand
As a turtledog user I gotta say turtledog is tricky to get in and out of
My autistic son had it tip over on him so he’s scared of it now
Bipod will be more stable...
Lol that was my Dutch asym wide kit no 2 panel
your the tarp master !
Tarps are challenging, mine took me 3 hrs and my machine tried to eat the project
So rewarding using it knowing I made it
Great job I’m jealous of your dbl stitching on the tieouts!
Dutch is so great !
Wonderful story and thanks for sharing
Now i know why I couldn’t order noseeum netting and he other day
Set mine up last night
In a field no trees
Amazed still at the perfect lay the stand gives 165986with minimal effort
Width is what I reall need
I know noseeum netting comes in 54 in width
After making the zippered bugnet kit from ripstop by the roll I now want to sacrifice my first diy 11 foot hexon 1.6 hammock for an attached bugnet
Will 4 yards do it ?
Want to use dutches 2 way...
Yes happened to me at our family property
Was super hot so we slept outside on air mattress ( pre hammock era)
Was awoken by the creepiest animal noise ever ( for Michigan)
I screamed at it and...
My Diy hammocks and my winter covers I made saved me a lot and I learned new tricks along the way
So on 7/64 amsteel I trim 3 of the 8 strands and it works great
Exactly how are you trimming zing it
Also I always make sure both sides are zipped closed
I use shorter 8 foot 1 in webbing
Becket hitch for no hardware lighter solution
Mostly skinnier trees closer together
Love my chairs all only use a yard of hexon 1.0 or 1.6 wide hexon
