I always recommend to new hangers to find a group hang in their area and attend it even if it just for a day visit to check out the...
I am retiring ( again ) at the end of the year so I hope to do a bit more traveling to add to my list.
The first time I retired, after three months The Terminator said I was under foot too much...

Before we came to the hang, we set up Sam's House ( a large soft sided crate ) that Sam sleeps in when we are hanging to lake sure everything was working. While we had the crate set up at home Abby...
Wearing too many cloths at night can restrict blood flow and make you colder

Another hang is finished. Had a great time but I am worn out. Crashed for about 4 hours after we got home. Had to give the dogs a bath as they rolled in something stinky like all dogs do...made...

No rain is good....have trailer pulled up close to house to make loading easier. In process of staging gear in living room so I can start loading trailer this evening.

I have been using a klymit pillow x for a few years now. The X pattern keeps my head centered on the pillow. Weighs 2 oz

IMO it is better to go with quilts that may be too warm as it is easier to vent the excess heat than to get warm

Just beware that there is not such thing as 100 % safe parking. My son and I hiked a bit of the trail this past spring and 3 cars were broken into at the hiker parking lot at Occonee SP. Got there...

Just wanted to say thanks to Just Bill with coming out with a Bridge for use by us big guys.
With most of the cottage vendors listed on the forum, you can email them and or call them to get answers to your questions. You will often find at least one of the vendors at many of the hangs...
At the very least you are required to show up for Saturday night to decompress from all that school work.
I also used to work at a pizza joint making pizza's. We made our dough by hand every day. Later moved over to also doing delivery's as that paid even more when you got good tips.
