I would suggest the genuine calendered parachute fabric in a 1.1 ounce 30 denier. It is available for only 79 cents a yard in a 66 inch width in silver, white and royal blue.

This fabric is calendered so there is low air permeability and does not breathe well. It is a great fabric for tarps and hammocks since it is light weight and strong--but definitely not breathable.
