I put hand warmers in my socks at night. I put a pair of socks on, then I put a second pair on that are quite big, with the handwarmers in between. This keeps me toasty all night.
They get too...

This is the photo that everyone wants to see; Gordo cooking bacon.
Thanks to the organizers, cooks and raffle...
I’ve missed you. Lol. I can just picture this at your hang spot.

Are we still thinking pulled pork? I’m trying to come up with what I’ll contribute.

That would be George. [emoji3590]
Maybe this has been answered already, and if so, I am sorry to repeat. Your foot pressure is too high. There should be an adjustment where you can lower the foot pressure. Good luck.
I think it depends on when you eat, and if cocktails are involved.
So happy that you are coming!
I am pretty sure I describe seam allowances here.

Good luck.
You definitely need reinforcement patches on the tie-outs.
Cowboy we miss you
Thanks! Looking forward to it.
I show how I cut my footbox in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo86snPA_oc
There are a lot of variables that will make your projects easier or harder, depending on what you choose to do. One of the most significant variables for a newbie is the weight of the fabric. 1.6oz...
I camped in Site 1. This was my setup.

Congrats to Porkroll for winning the Coup de Grace de Grub cookoff for his Chicken and Dumplings. They were delicious.
Thanks to the organizers and the cooks. We all benefitted from your awesome...
That looks fantastic!!!
Congrats! Sleeping in home-made gear is just the best. Enjoy.
If you want wind resistance, why not just make an underquilt protector. Those things come in really handy when it blusters. You can also easily wash it if it gets dirty with mud or rain splatters.
Check my youtube channel because I make a thick climashield underquilt and I box the sides. You'll want to do a differential cut or box the sides so that you don't compress the insulation.

Triple stitching should be plenty strong, but as mentioned above, don't sew your rows too close together and your stitches should not be too tight (close together). I would really be shocked if a...
I use spreader bars on the tarp to keep it nice and spacious.
I have gone backpacking with my niece (age 9) and we do very well with a side-by-side hammock setup so we are hanging off the same trees and sharing a wide tarp. I carry almost everything, though...
Count your blessings for that!
I'm so glad that you are loving these as much as I do. This is what I use. I put some dog bones and my tarplines in the outer zip pocket, and I can even stuff my outdoor thermometer in the main...
Nice job! I love the color choice too.
I’m sorry to report I can’t make it out this time. Have fun!
I’m thankful for hammocks because they bring us all together into our unique community.
I’m thankful for the wakeup call at the loco libre hang or I would have slept through breakfast;)
I’m...
I understand. I don't really get the "big boy britches" reference, but I do understand the rest of where you are coming from. Don't fight it. Welcome to the dark side.
I'll do my best to be there.
I will try to make a weekend in December. The weekend of the 22nd is out.
Wow George, I hope they catch the perpetrator. That is very scary and hopefully your daughter can get her car back.
Great job on the donation to St. Judes! That contribution will surely make a...
Are you open to a renaming as well? I have a few ideas...
That's the spirit!
Thank you George et al for putting on a fabulous hang. Had a great time, slept solid in the pines, and enjoyed seeing everyone.
That sounds interesting....
Welcome from DE. I'm your neighbor too.
Thank you Donna.
I've never had a problem.
You don't need a powerful machine to sew a tarp. Try testing with some scraps and see if the feed dogs actually grab the fabric without a problem. You may be okay.
I had to make a major repair to my tarp after hanging in a nor’easter and I won’t do that again. Foolish.

Lots and lots of details at this link, along with plenty...
He does beautiful work.
Sometimes I wonder...
I would hate to see that branch come off the tree. This is a student rental house. I am hoping nobody is putting their weight in that hammock.
I think I should go back there and talk to whomever set this up. It was too early to knock this morning.
