Tensa 4. Problem solved. Maximum potential. No trees required.
This is really exceptional! Clever use of your obvious carpentry finish skills.
This one apparently never got off the ground. I recently bought a Tensa 4 and am duly impressed.
If the bases are narrowed to 3-4 feet apart, no alterations are required. This was important to me, as I wanted to switch to trees without having to mess with changing the buckles and CL's.
I tried the narrow base and it worked well. bases 3 feet apart. No sacrifice of stability and none of the alterations suggested by some. Thanks!
Laterdome's simple solution works nicely! I narrowed my footprint and it worked well to clear the head end spreader bar. No shortening of the apex triangle is required. Thanks!

If you choose a water proof material I...

CON: The cost will be the killer for...
I have done a lot of cyber surfing, and only two stands appeal to me. This design,
and the turtle dog.
I am wondering if this would work well with pvc materials. 1 1/2 inch, maybe...

Good job! Keep on inspiring us!
Wow, Thumbs found a solution. 7 ft by 10 ft would be good coverage. Might not be trusty in a storm, or high winds. But wonderful for those clear, calm starry nights when you want to shelter from...
One might solve the coverage problem by using two sheets asym fashion, one overlapping the other. Water runoff from the top sheet would be caught by the bottom sheet. If both sheets are tied well...
