Hmm... He should save that name just in case he come's out with a fully insulated winter-only All-In-One hammock.. like an upgraded Winter Chameleon. And then I'd buy it and go broke.
I sleep with my head end about 10" lower than my foot end, so cinching at the foot end would require a bit of a climb and a lot more fidgeting. Also, If I don't secure the end completely, I get eaten...
Haha, Mine too. Wife's got a bad back and I roll around like a Walrus. She can't take my tossing and turning, and I get bad sleep if I do, so she get's her own bed (with the pupper's of course) and I...
I'm assuming you're hammocking inside at this point, so if you can get away with stealing the couch cushions without getting scolded by any room mates or significant others, I'd pile up just enough...
Why not "Gecko" to fall in line with the "Chameleon" namesake?
Bingo. Once it's up and over and tied down, I've got no complaints, but my biggest issue is, what If I wake up at 3:10 a.m. needing to vacate my bladder with haste... Scootching up to the head end,...
If it's no longer a standard option, will they remain an optional customization? If they're still available upon request and it's just something you have to order rather than standard equipment, I...
I've packed both my double-layer Dutchware hammock and the Summer Argon Sock together in the same Dutchware Double Ended Stuff Sack. FWIW, I wish I would've bought the bottom entry bug net (fronkey...
Buy once, cry once. I made the mistake with a short ENO hammock. Switched to Dutchware a year and a half ago which prompted me to try nightly hammocking and have had nearly 550 nights of blissful...
I sleep nightly in one of two Dutchware Hexon 1.6 (72" Wide) hammocks. Honestly, the "extra wide" has proven to be somewhat unnecessary for me. Still nice to have, but ultimately, I'm sure I'd be ok...
Not long after my HF Join Date, I started sleeping in a hammock nightly. I have been ever since. 2 Dutchware's and an AHE Jarbidge have served me well. I'm on a Pipe-Stand that's wall-to-wall in my...
Can't wait for the pillows to arrive, thanks and Happy 4'th! (a day late.)
North Texas, huh? Me too.
I don't think boiling water for oatmeal really counts, and my alcohol stove making skills are pretty bad, but if you think it counts, then yes.
... Big ole fat rain
I'm no expert, but here's my view of things-
I'm 5'11"/200lbs. I have both a Hexon W 1.6 Single Layer Dutchware and a Hexon W 1.6 Double Layer Dutchware.
I Bought my Single Layer first and...
I've found random dimes and quarters in between my hammock and my underquilt.. no idea how those got there.
I own an AHE Cub pillow stuffed with Climashield. Keeps my neck nice and warm, and the size is just right.
I feel like it's not unreasonable to own and use both depending on the situation. I've got a 3/4 Jarbidge, and want to have a full length some day, but that won't be reason enough to get rid of the...
I'll second Hexon 1.6 as it's all i've got expeirence with. It's got an almost cotton like give in the fabric, and the texture is smooth like good linen but not slippery like argon or silk.
How nice would that be if I could get insurance to pay for a Winter Argon and a Hexon 1.0... Ah well. If they don't, I eventually will.
Bearrito for sure! Thanks for hosting a giveaway!
Probably not what you expected or planned for your products, but I figured I'd chime in. Yesterday I came home with a terrible migraine. I hopped in my 11'x72" Dutchware setup in my room after...
I've got a Jarbidge and when it get's a bit warm, I reach back and free up some slack on the head end. If I'm totally sweltering, I just pull the whole thing off to the side.
Ahoy from the Blacklands (DFW).
How many days are you going for? I could suffer through a storm with a few trash bags and some duct tape for a night if I had to. Cool idea for a friendly challenge, but $50 each will likely net a...
Welcome from Plano, Tx! Good to hear your back is adjusting nicely to hammock life.
Slept in my summer sock and 72" dutchware last night just fine. At my "Lay angle", it didn't seem tight, but it was snug enough to hold my Jarbidge underquilt a bit more positively than just the...
Looks great! You sure can see that draft collar doing it's job!
Yeah, a $17 tarp is hard to sneeze at. I bought one at $20 and thought that was a good deal. Really like it, but it has gromets for tie offs if anyone cares or is wondering....
Just ordered a summer sock because I live in Texas. More than likely, I'll order a winter sock when the weather starts to turn. Anyone with a Winter Sock care to comment on how well they do in the...
Here's my gripe about Dutchware: He sprinkles magic addiction powder inside each of his hammocks so you have a tough time resisting the rest of his products.
Why would it be life threatening? Besides potentially being uncomfortable, he's not risking high tension on trees or straps.
That logo is pretty sweet Tim!
I'm Italian and German.. I was told I don't get to wear a kilt.
Campdavid, You make a good point, but Hammocks are ancient. Fad's come and go, but the classics.. there's a reason they've stuck around this long. ;)
Sorry I've been a bit under-the-radar lately, My life's been hectic the last few weeks. (My father just passed away.). Awesome to see the Mini's get off the ground!!!
#21 for that Gray-on-Orange Goodness!!!
For what it's worth, I'm a belly sleeper in bed, and for the last 30 years couldn't sleep on my back because of discomfort and nausea. For reasons completely unknown to me, I sleep great in my...
I'm a Jarbidge owner and love it. Loco Libre's synthetic looks really nice too, and it's got a draft collar.
There's a guy on youtube that makes a "winter pod hammock" literally out of a blue hardware store tarp that completely velcro's shut and has some wind shield heat reflector material inside, but I...
I've been kicking around getting a Fronkey or a summer sock for a while. Sock seems cool because it'll protect the underquilt and on hot nights with no underquilt, be an extra layer of shielding from...
No idea, sorry, but it seems like something of that nature would be uncomfortable after while because it doesn't breathe well.
Good deal! There's a lot of unique and attractive looking combos!
I was hanging out under my Diamond shaped Yukon Outfitters Walkabout rainfly (11'10"x9'4") in an 11' dutchware when the winds picked up something fierce at about 4:30am. Looked at my phone and a...
As many as you can get away with before your spouse starts sabotaging your suspension while you sleep.
Your kid looks SERIOUSLY crashed out! I fully expect to come home and eventually perform a hammock eviction of my son. Mom told him he could watch TV in the hammock in the other room while the adults...
No idea what the Bug net adds in terms of weight, but you might check out BIAS (Butt In A Sling) Weight Weenie.
Yo ho and ahoy Cap't Andy, Cap't Levi Stone here, Brigand of the Blacklands and scourge of the south. Aye, the Canadian Dubloon be in a boon as of late. Any acquisitions ye be plan'in? My quarters be...
