That orange webbing!.. Amsteel for me though. :)
Dual lock velcro-alternative is overkill, but might be easier to clean than velcro's hook and loop.
Great trick. Could've really used this when hunkered down through a torrential downpour near Mammoth Cave National Park during a long road trip. That night's dinner was terribly dreary.
Not a problem if you've got one of these.

I want tarp extensions now. As well as a Thunderfly..
[Is the hammock stand in the way when the mini doors are deployed?]
I'm 5' 11'' and can hardly imagine being comfortable with all the seats down and forward [much less in a car cabin hammock]..
Great point. My roof rack, cargo basket, and bike rack are all...
Wow! I wish I can do that with my VW Golf.
Maybe I can do the one tree method with my cargo rack though. However, a better comfortable solution for rest stops would be great though.
The 11' tarp is great for 11' hammocks. Unless you have a bridge hammock, the 13' seems to be a luxury winter tarp if you can even find trees that far apart.

Regarding UCR....
How about offering precut and premarked amsteel for UCR DIY as an accessory? This is assuming that UCR accessory sales have impacted for Tensa4 UCR packages.
Alternatively,...
I don't know if black mold spots will ever go away. My shower liner is regularly washed in some bleach followed by a cup of vinegar during the second rinse.
I forget which is which, but one of...
Nice. My nephew was just intrigued with this model.
Your topquilt seems fine with the extra 6''. I often feel that an extra 6'' is too long for my 20° since there's too much slack that causes the quilt to shift downwards. My 40° only has 1'' extra,...
Just throw it into the shelf before getting out.
The Wooki underquilt helped me find the favored lay by the manufacturer since my feet were too close to the footend.
The hammock was very easy for me. However, sleeping on the ground is still difficult since I toss and turn all night. EDIT: This may or may not be due to a hip injury that I'm still recovering...
Looks like a 1L bot.
Isle of Du Bois State Park is just north of Dallas. Tyler State Park is great with canoe rentals. Atlanta State Park is more secluded. That's all I've been to up north. Ozarks is pretty far, but...
Just rocked the XLC with the stand another night on the balcony for a total of ~15 nights. The stand's ridgeline has ~1 inch of slack so that it remains standing as the hammock is stowed away.
On...
How about a towel hang[e]r?

What about using binder clips on the UCR?
Nice. I may try this since I want to sleep on my balcony as much as possible.
Are you referring to the UCR for the stand or the hammock?
I now wonder if webbing might be good for me since I get sunsets on my balcony. I'm just not interested in packing up the hammock each...
LOL. I also started with the X pillow. Works great on the Ridgerunner bridge hammock, but is terrible on the Blackbird XLC gathered end hammock. To which I now use the LLBean down travel pillow. ...
Looks like 6'
I've finally kicked laziness to the curb this past week. I'm so glad to finally have a working hammock stand on the balcony. I've spent four nights outside and am more than please. Thanks a...
My new Tensa4 hammock stand has earned a spot on my balcony. My down pillow will see lots of use this year. It's heavier than common ripstop, but the fleece side is great for colder nights.
...
Ooh la la. All this pillow talk's getting me excited about tonight.
Thankfully, it was a slow motion kind of fall since the ranger band took some of the momentum. I didn't notice any damage to my current Wooki, but I think that 10D fabric would've shown some...
Hmmmm. I've been testing my Tensa4 hammock stand on my balcony this past week. Last night, I missed my hammock and sat on the Wooki. The ranger band snapped and I landed on concrete. Glad the...
I'm on the other side of the spectrum. 5' 11'' @ 170 lbs trying to downsize to a 10' hammock and shorter tarp..
Is there something about the 10' hammock that you don't like? What brand and...
Looks like brrry nice trip!
My Klymit X inflatable pillow works with the bridge hammock, but my LLBean down travel pillow is used on gathered end hammocks for better support. I still haven't purchased a down puffy nor a fleece...
The DL 1.0 is fine. PM sent.
I'll take #3 -- Blackbird DL 1.1
I love the idea, but I also agree with others. I believe that everyone should enjoy nature, but still be kind to her and our brethren. These secret spots that the brave people have uncovered...
I'll take the Dream Hammock Freebird.
EDIT: Please disregard my request. I had hoped for Multicam, but it appears to be Marpat Camo instead..
Thunderbird or Blackbird??
I love room temperature water, but you've just made warm water sound absolutely wonderful! Good tidings.
I agree with mychal. The overlapping tarp comparison indicates that the tarp width increases with ridgeline increases. This is not the case....
After experiencing a torrential downpour at Houchin Ferry Campground during last Memorial Day's road trip, I can finally appreciate a mammoth cave for supper. I'll soon put effort towards this very...
I'm getting buyer's remorse for being an early adopter. Loving the new toggles!!
I've been lucky without an UQP so far. However, I've typically hung the tarp pretty low when it's raining.
Why not wait and see if you'd really need it? Staying well above the underquilt's...
They're both Econ 20D shells. Both also have +1oz overfill.
My theory on the drape is that higher fill would allow for sharper angles, thus providing a better drape against the body. In turn,...
I'll attest to feeling the same. My 40° uses a drawstring and my 20° is sewn. I feel very constricted with the 20°, but I've never owned a mummy sleeping bag and aren't used to this feeling. The...
My topquilt arrived on the 5th.
I have 2 Hammockgear Econ topquilts. Love the 40°, but the 20° doesn't seem to drape and maneuver as I would like.
Strangely, this video landed on my feed, so I was obligated to watch it on the television. You the man! :)
Great point. Time for more testing with my air pad.
That's great to hear. I'll opt to keep the tiedowns as a backup for those longer backpacking trips.
There's existing slack when I'm a hammock. I've even used the topquilt a few times on my reclining sofa, but prefer softer cotton blankets to contrast the leather sofa.
Having only slept on an...
