I got my too, #1933. I see we have similar tastes.
You just blew my mind. I have been using the prussic on the stake end.. This would be so much better. Now I got to go play with my tarp.
I'm in the same boat right now. I order a dream hammock, so I may part with it when that gets here.
If I remember correctly HG uses treated down in all their quilts now.
Hmmm.. I don't know about using it for camping, but it does look like it has some potential for being a good backyard lounging hammock. I'd have to try it to be sure. I do think it's a neat idea. It...
Thanks everybody for all the helpful info. I think I have enough to feel good about it. When I find the time to dig out my injector I'll give it a go.
I've fallen once. I forgot to pull out the fabric and sat down on the back edge of the hammock. Once second I was looking at my friend, the next I'm look at the sky. He freaked out. It didn't hurt....
Thank you. That's is exactly what I was looking for.
I plan on making some 2 inch tree straps, but I'm not sure the best way to sew the loops on the ends of the webbings. Does anyone have any experience in this or some resources to make sure they are...
I spent most if my childhood in the black hills. Welcome to the forum.
I just ordered mine too. #1933. Now we just have to wait 7 weeks...
That's awesome. I love the colour.
I have made my reflectix pad. So far it is very light and flexible. I plan on slipping it between the layers on my XLC. I just need to find a good night this next week to test it and I'll report my...
Welcome to the forum! What part of Ireland are you in?
I have used my emberlit fireant in my hammock before with success. I put the tarp in porch mode and hanging high then put the stove just under a full arms length from my hammock and had no worries....
That's what I plan on ordering. I keep buying it by the 25 to 50 ft and I never seem to have enough. [emoji1]
Got my site reserved at lock A. Thanks for the recommendation
I have used 1/8 shock cord and 3/32 shock cord. I have found the 1/8 is over kill and a lot heavier. I use about a 6 inch section tied into my line as a self tensioning system and it's worked well...
I'm really enjoying this series.
I buy lash it from Dutch and it has a 400lb break strength. I have found (through blunders of my own fault) that there is no need for anything stronger. Other point will fail before then (usually...
You will love it. Dutch makes some real quality stuff. I found going to a longer hammock was even more comfortable. Now all you can do is slouch by the mail box until it gets here.
I am going to try and make a reflectix pad for summer hanging tomorrow and do some testing this week. I'll try to remember to take some pictures and post my findings. I'm hoping it will do good for...
I'm hoping someone might know of a good campground.
I plan on being in Nashville with a friend the coming weekend. We planned on being there for the day and coming back late, but I would like to...
I haven't had much issue out of mine. There are some ribbon ties when you pull the net over that helps hold it out of the way. I found sitting just a couple inches closer to the foot end solved any...
Order # 7118 green CF winter palace odered 6th Feb shipped today. I thought there would be further delays so I order a warbonnet superfly that's on its way too. Now I get to have twice the tarp fun...
Just south of Chattanooga.
Hey everyone,
I'm Jabomba. I'm a North Georgia hanger. I thought I would introduce myself. I have lurked for a while and thought I should join in on the conversation.
I'm currently hanging...
Fellow big guy here. I would skip out on the whoopie slings. I tried that system on one of my hammocks. I just don't trust it. It always felt a bit sketchy and one night I had my foot end slip and...
