I just did a weather search for Shamong. Slight chance of rain from 4am becoming more steady by 9 am. Heavy rains from around noon to 3 then by 5 it should be out of there. So nice nap time from...
I use mesh snake skins for my 12' palace tarp. I fold the tarp/skins over a few times then stuff the ends down the side (inside) of my pack leaving the center section visible on top. This way I...
I have a Sea to Summit Aeros that's comfy, but honestly the best inflatable pillow I have is an Outdoor Vitals one. I don't inflate my pillows all the way, so I've found all but the Outdoor Vitals...
Fav hang of the year! Can't wait!
Parking at Atsion station on 206 and hiking into either Lower forge or Mullica River camp grounds is a really nice hike. Both are about 6 or so miles one way. Lower Forge is a dry camp and Mullica...
Loving mine so far. Upgrading it this weekend.
I bought the Ridge Outdoor Gear $50 hammock and it's surprisingly awesome. 11 feet long by 58 inches wide and it's every bit as comfortable as any of my cottage hammocks. 1.7 oz rip stop nylon...
I should be there Friday afternoon Looking forward to seeing everyone!!
*snort* ugh huh? Did someone say stoves? No? OK I'm going back to sleep now....... See ya in a couple weeks.
A guy named Kurt Zitzelmin runs it. He's an avid hiker/backpacker in northern PA. He has a youtube channel that's pretty good. For trails in PA I often go to his channel to see if he's hiked it. ...
The standard is a "bikini" version IMO. The WP is the same size as a super fly. I second what SilvrSurfr said. Too little side coverage with the standard. I also replaced my standard with a Palace.
Large cotton "laundry bags" I found on Amazon. They are very similar to the ones HG offers. I get the two pack for $7.50. Perfect.
Does anyone have a tarp or hammock printed with the squiggle camo? I'd like to see the size and colors of the print. Thanks!!
Just reach out and pull it away from the hammock and give it a couple flaps. It's a rare thing that I have ever needed to vent the UQ though. I did have one time I just reached out and pulled the...

It says "Invalid file" when I copy the link into the insert image function. :/
UQ definitely. Go with a quality UQ. As others have said, you can always improvise for top layers, but if you're losing heat from underneath you're gonna struggle to be comfortable.

I was just made aware people can't see my photos I post from Google Photos. I was using chrome and logged in on Firefox and sure enough, none of my photos are showing. When I go to the photo, I...
Ah... here I'm using firefox and can't see my images. hmmmmm off to the test page I go
Same. Windows 10 and google chrome. The pics are from google photos. They aren't showing for you?
I usually go with earth tones, but I bought my LLG zero set made of brick red. Love it! It's an awesome color! ...
Syntax77 did a pre development video of it.

I see a giant gear stash..... :shades:
Not me. I got 1 degree above zero F with a recorded windchill of -13. I don't think I experienced the windchill though since the wind was pretty calm by the time I got set up. LLG zero quilts,...
I had a really great time catching up with people and their doggos. I had a much needed fun and relaxing time! Thanks for another great winter hang! And I can't believe I missed the sticky buns!!
Reaper and Ghost pepper zero degree quilts kept me super warm with a low of 19F! The first time I've been able to sleep the whole night in the cold without waking up at some point to fix a cold...
Dream Hammock made a hammock out of it and tested it. You can see the video on their Youtube channel here.... https://youtu.be/zu5H9HR_YdY

A clothes line pole to a tree near that rickety old fence. ...
I string mine up in my spare room and make sure it's dry, then slide the skins back over it and toss it in my storage thingagiggy.
You don't have to worry about selecting a site. All the NJ residents book all the sites so we have the whole place to ourselves. Come on down! It's a great weekend! Show up, set up and enjoy!!
25 days and counting!!
More than adequate in length and width as long as you pull the sides out. ...
Hello and welcome! I'm in SE PA but spend a lot of time in the Pine barrens.
Both are fantastic hammocks, but I'd have to give the edge to the Chameleon. The Sidecar seems bigger than the shelf on the xlc and it stays even when/if you remove the bug net or top cover.
