I have one of these pads (blue one, right?) and it fit the RR just fine. But it is monstrously heavy.

Didn’t really hear her verdict on the hammock. Despite her thousands of miles she’s still at the beginning of the hammock learning curve. Couple of obvious rookie mistakes. Would liked to have...
Bump for 1 more week.
Sold to Canadark
Thanks! Sorry for the problem.
I just changed the source. Any pictures?
Let me see what I can do. I always seem to have problems with pictures here. Are you logged in or not when you’re looking?
[SOLD] Ridgerunner netless 30D nylon, double layer and Spindrift. Ridgerunner is Evergreen color, Spindrift is brown. Selling as a pair to save shipping costs. Ridgerunner has dogbones, but no...
Thanks to everyone that answered. As per agreement with wife I can’t open it until Dec 25.
Ordered another Ridgerunner on the Black Friday sale. Had a question and Greg wrote me back telling me, among other things, my new Ridgerunner has the “updated bugnet.” Anyone know what this...
Yeah, pretty much. Just a thought.
Laying in the Ridgerunner last night thinking about suspension and wondered about this...what if you replaced all four dogbones with whoopie slings? The tree strap and anything coming off it would...
#3...many ways to hang a tarp. Time for you to discover Dutchwaregear.com.
I used to use the 2 individual loops at each end of my tarp (with Dutchware Stingerz), but have since gone back to a...
Don’t forget she also hiked from France all the way across Spain on the Camino de Santiago. Kudos to her for getting outside her comfort zone and trying new things.
Same here. She says she plans on using it for about 100 miles which is probably only 5-7 days for her. It takes a few nights to get used to a new sleep system. If she gives a positive thumbs up...
The video we’ve all been waiting for (at least I have!)!
I’m a Ridgerunner guy myself. That was my first (and still preferred) hammock. My concern for you is the double layer Ridgerunner is max rated for 250lbs. I’m sure that’s somewhat conservative but...
From the dimensions Spiguyver gave, it’s almost identical to the Ridgerunner and might be just a touch narrower at the foot end.
You gotta start somewhere and Warbonnet is a great place to do that. Don’t fall into “analysis paralysis” trying to figure out what the best hammock is, because there is no one best hammock.
...
Here’s something else I was wondering about the new Banyan—will the double ridgeline and therefore wider bugnet affect how the Banyan fits under a tarp? Will the tarp need to be set higher and/or...
Any ideas why Dutch’s new bridge hammock is called the Banyan? Reference to the Banyan tree? If so why? The logo is cool!
I still think the name Bridgemeleon would have been awesome.
That’s perfect!
I think we need a giant Warbonnet sale to help us take our minds off the Coronavirus!:laugh:
I have come to enjoy the gentle swaying of my Ridgerunner. I find it relaxing, like being rocked to sleep.
I did experiment one time with trying to dampen the swinging motion using shockcord. I...
There’s not really any magic. Finding a comfy hammock, like hiking shoes, is a very personal thing. What works well for one person might not work as well for another. I’ve tried the XLC in two...
Coming kinda late to this party, but here’s something that I don’t know if it’s been tried or not. I’m not even sure exactly how to do it, or if it would even work, but since you fine folks at HG...
Curious if anyone has received a Ridgerunner with the new “updated corner configuration” (where the spreader bars go right into the dogbones instead of the metal end plates). Surely Brandon shipped...
Peppy paid. Purchased product. (I can’t stop :D)
Peppy purchased pending PayPal payment. (Sorry, but I had to,)
New Year’s gear closet cleaning.
Eldorado lightweight double layer. Like-new condition. Evergreen color. No suspension, continuous loops only. I switched out the grey head-end CL with a red one...
I know Dixie does not accept free gear from manufacturers which is one way she’s able to give independent reviews. But if I were Brandon I would see if I could “loan” Dixie a Wooki to go with that a...
Dixie (aka Jessica aka Homemade Wandelust) just announced in her latest YouTube video she’s going to try hammocking again and has chosen the Blackbird and Minifly to test out.
If you’re not...
This is exactly how I do it too. My straps are the black and white ones though. I think that’s what they’re calling the spider-poly.
...
I understand that the Black Friday sale will only be on in-stock items, not any custom orders. (Except Diamondback topquilts.) I emailed Warbonnet asking about a custom made tarp and Ryan responded...
Sounds like your best bet simply would be a netted Ridgerunner for bug season and a netless one for winter. Realistically by the time you try to change out zippers (assuming it can be done) and the...
Been waiting on the same! With the new corner configuration.
There have been Black Friday sales the past few years. Of course it’s up to Brandon to decide. Best bet is just to stay tuned. If there is going to be one we should know next week.
Something does look off. If you can get the silver foot bar out of the other bar it looks as if it would work. It looks like one of the inserts and one of the end tips got switched though. ...
What temperature ranges are you finding the X-Therm Max works in? How low can you comfortably go (temperature-wise)?
Flatter lay with pad? Yes. Significantly? Not really. IMO. The spreader bars do a pretty good job keeping the RR open. I’ve done both (pad and UQ) and prefer UQ.
Thanks for the clarification warbonnetguy. I think I see one of these new style RR’s in my future!
Postscript—after much serious testing of the Ninox, I ended up sending it back. While it is a good hammock, it just wasn’t what I was looking for. The weight was the biggest issue. At almost 30oz...
Again if someone has beaten me to the punch with this idea my apologies, but I do not recall seeing anything like this before.
Was out hanging with the trusty Ridgerunner and ran into a problem--I...
Oh wow oh wow oh wow....this new style is available over on Warbonnet’s website now! Apparently added 9/10/19. I assume it’s the “None” suspension option.
You can still get end plates...
I’m intrigued. I almost bought a new Ridgerunner on the Labor Day Sale. Maybe this is what I was unknowingly waiting for.
I agree with Just Bill that Brandon should offer RR’s either with or...
Very a-peeling. Hope you sell a bunch!
Blame the Post Office (or UPS) for that. I don’t think Warbonnet, or any of the cottage vendors, are really making money off shipping. But they do have to cover their costs of materials and...
I have a 1st gen Spindrift (double door) and had a zipper put in at the foot end. Do you need it? No, but having a zipper makes it waaay easier to put in a pad. Since I now use an underquilt 100%of...
Labor Day, Black Friday, Fourth of July...I almost always wait for a major holiday to buy.
Actually it is comfortable. You’ve seen enough of my posts to know I’m a Ridgerunner fan and that will still be my go-to hammock. The Ninox is one of the most comfortable gathered-end hammocks I’ve...
