I'm having issues getting the Mount Washington 4 snug against my back in the Towns End Bridge. Anyone else having this problem? Also, the gaps on the sides are letting cold air seep in.
you notice any of the homeless camps on the mason dixon in Elk Neck Forest? Behind the graveyard in North East. If they can camp out in the Elk Forest, we should be able to stealth hang over...
those poles sure are nice! I'll be out on that river come November for Goose Hunting. Got a few on early season in September. Nice view of Red Point across the way there.
Peppy, did you order the suspension kit or make your own? How are you rigging that MW4?
^^ nice! Bonus points for Camo netting!
What are folks running for Underquilts? I just Ordered an UnderGroundQuilts Ambush 10f with 4oz overstuff, with a custom loop sewn in amidship on each side(man grunt). Idea being to snug her up...
The ridge line on the Townsend is nice, takes the guess work out of pitching. Hang it up...back up...level out, sleep. (added one to the WBRR, sshhh).
Thermarest sit pad inside the sleeping bag, like Shug taught me! I take a windshield reflector for the outside also, as a windbreak/insulation in the bridge haymack.
one thing about bridges you should know, kind of a wild ride when your squirming around when you first get in, adjusting your sleeping bag and such.
gathered end: light and cheap. Bridge: heavier and more expensive. BUT TOTALLY WORTH IT.
Ran the 3/4 AHE Ridge Creek last night...fits well. Clipped the head end to the (gasp) little yellow shoestring, and the foot end shock corded up to the ARL. I'm ready for a full length sub zero UQ...
^^^ i know where I'm stowing my First Aid Kit now! Great idea!
If you like the RR...wait till you try the Townsend Luxury Bridge. Made for us full figured fellas. I still like my RR, but it is a bit tight in the waist area for me. Plus warbonnet is so Mainstream...
Photo shop and a green screen?! Those pics dont even look real! Wow.
i run that same set up 3/4 AHE and Thermarest in my RR. Hope to do similar in the Lux, but its a single layer..,. Now the long wait for USPS to get it to me.... Warbonnet is so mainstream these days,...
yeah, pad in the bridge makes it an air bed. Nice bit of structure. 3/4 UQ and a full length self-inflater pad FTW....
Obviously a Ninja Warrior course, with the hammie as a safety net.
My only complain with the spindrift is the stuff sack is a bit small for the drift/hamock/bugnet/triangle suspension/caribiners.
I use the caribiners that came with the RR tree straps to "connect the dog bones" then use that same biner to a loop in the tree strap. Havent awoken on the ground yet!
Make messing about with the...
