That's a nice spot for a large group as I remember it. I've only done that trail once and we camped at the camp area on the other side up on the ridge.

That's the idea, but not big enough for a fire. I imagine if someone pulked in a whole roll of tyvek we could create a nice big hot box room.

We have will both filtration and SteriPen methods. Additionally we are doing freezer bag cooking so our water will be boiled anyway. Thanks for the heads up!
