man. and i thought my 23 ounces for summer TQ/UQ was light. nicely done.
just put my trunks to their first use today. a gorgeous fall day in central PA and i spent a period of time relaxing in my traveler w/ bloom's whoopies and elephant trunks. easy install and easy to...
i should've been more clear. i was not referring to the HG cottage in my rant. just vendors in general...
yes, stick does a great job with objective reviews.
i think the "cheer" demo was referring to is the tendancy for people on this site to just blow smoke up vendor's asses, brushing aside things like poor customer service, long waits, or poorly filled...
wow received shipping notification. what a pleasant experience i've had with your company so far...
order placed for the 1.5 single layer hammock. i'm pretty excited to try that out at 185 pounds. should be the perfect "goldilocks" hammock for my weight (too heavy for 1.1 but don't need the 1.7).
email sent with questions. great looking site...
if you're going to add 3 ounces of down i'd just get the 20 degree quilt. the baffles are likely sized for the specific amount of loft desired to get to a certain temperature. the summer with all...
i have some that i won at the mahaa last year and never used. i will send em to you for the cost of shipping. lmk...
willing to trade for some stuff?
that's nice man. i should have a 0 degree crowsnest on the way soon! mmmm
that's really exciting and a super cool thing to do paul...
I'm surprised you sold that rook.
i felt good enough when i got lawson's that i didn't need to buy any others... my buddy finskie has some from papa smurf that are a tad lighter than lawson's, but not as strong.
surprised nobody mentioned lawson's stakes. they are the best that i've used.

kid at christmas feeling :D i appreciate you sending the thicker shock cord even though you KNOW i count ounces. the proper marketing thing would've been to just send me the lightest quilt possible....
i have one on the table there now. interested to see what comes...
ahh didn't see it was shorter. thanks! wonder if they'd do a single layer night owl in the 1.5?
:D
hey nice stick. is this what the new crowsnests will look like? or is that a one of a kind build?
what piques my interest from these guys is the "snipe". if i read it right it's the same as the night owl, but a single layer. 12.5 oz??? :O

good stuff raul. i remember testing out an old sleeping bag in my yard one time. i laid out there for awhile in the lower limits of the bag until i got so cold i was probably near hypothermia. i...
nice details. this is a good point and case for takign some time to drape quilts and hammocks out over some rocks when you get some sunshine...
wow man that thing is HUGE! you can easily pitch that right down to the ground. looks great for winter. how can i have just got a new cuben tarp in the spring and now want a new one? how is that...
rook stop leaving me hanging! what happened!?!?!?
looks really nice gargoyle. that'd be where i kept my shoes and socks overnight instead of hanging on my suspension. or maybe a bottle of water :D
a cool and innovative idea...
what happened bro? injury?

i don't know what those guys charge for shipping, but that looks pretty nice and only slightly above your $70 range and .7 oz over your 9 oz...
did the 3000th order winner hit yet? i'm feeling lucky today and could be tempted into ordering something :D
i'm really shocked this is still here. that guy gets a ton of love over at bpl and a quilt from him is upwards of like, 12 week wait time. that price is killer. someone getting ready to ditch their...
i can't believe your gear doesn't fit into that circuit bro. :(
congrats shug. it is a lifetime dream of mine to climb rainier. enjoy!
WM in the house... loved the papa smurf bit. i think you'll really like the traveler/papa smurf bugnet. it's a really great lightweight combo.
my experience is this:
-yes, you do need to use...
FINALLY someone picked up on the conan monologue. pretty good improv by fin if i do say so...
no way did i carry that can of soup hangnout! that thing weighed more than my big 4 i think :D
lol that's awesome fin. your best vid yet! we had a blast on that overnighter...
i did check out that page man and you've got a boatload of info on there that took a lot of time and preparation. i personally think it should be a sticky somewhere in the forums here. you sum up...
http://watermonkeydotnet.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/img_1154.jpg?w=1024&h=768
that pretty much sums it up right there! :D
hey looking good SBD! glad to see you out despite the heat. you are a warrior!
that's the beauty of the 900 fill. the resiliency it has (meaning it relofts SO fast) compared to lesser downs. i wouldn't sweat that at all. when you take it out of your pack at camp give it a few...
i'm a terrible shopper. i ordered my first item from paul during this big sale and it was an item that wasn't on sale :D
i'm surprised you didn't curse. well played just groaning...
what's your expected weight of the TQ wiht m55?
nah fin we'll just invite him along on a backpacking trip and do the ole switcheroo in the middle of the night. then when he comes and asks me about it i'll simply reply "I DO BELIEVE THERE'S A...
i see what you're saying. the cuben in a 3 season or winter wouldn't be on much bare skin though. maybe my hands only. so that'd take care of a lot of the claminess of it.
:D
what about a cuben inner burrow with 7D outside? probably expensive huh? but man would that be an epic quilt...
i got mine. code worked and shipping was very fast.
prices are on the site bigfoot. +$30 for 1 side cuben UQ. +$50 for burrow made of the 7D.
i have a set of warbonnet's buckles that someone "PIF" to me, that i ended up not using. I will send you them for the same price he charged me. Nothing. Pm me if interested
you guys are becoming like computers. the cutting edge just keeps getting recut every 2 or 3 months!
Geez. What is the expected weight drop adding the 1 side of cuben to a 3/4 length UQ?
ran into trouble once i got to the final step. i can't seem to "close the lock". meaning, once i tie the stopper knot, i can't milk the loop closed :(
