Updated and added an item for sale.
In an effort to make room for some new gear I'd like to sell some spare stuff. All of the items are in good to like new condition, most have only seen a trip or two.
Price includes shipping CONUS....
I think the Desert Rat was discontinued but not sure about the others.
I use the MSR Groundhog stakes and they work great, the pull cord on them makes it so much easier to remove.
Welcome to the forum.
Some more questions, what is the ideal:
-distance between trees?
-height (from ground) of tarp suspension?
-height (from ground) of huggers on tree?
I just got back from a 4 day backpack in Yosemite NP, amazing trip to say the least. This was the first multi-night trip in a hammock and all my new gear worked great (blackbird, oes tarp, crowsnest...
It certainly could work but I'm not sure how well I'd sleep that night.
It's a start, a new site will probably be necessary if you keep adding new stuff for sale.
After looking at my options for guylines I think I've settled on buying from opie, I love the other products I've ordered from him.
My question is, do the tensioners offer anything for my Spinn...
After trying slap straps, hennessy knot, cinch buckes, rings, and currently using whoopies... I'd have to say the whoopies win hands down. Save yourself some time and money and order a pair of...
Going back to the ground?
Exactly what I was thinking, I'd go for those black 15 footers if you plan to use webbing for the entire length of suspension.
You may be able to use these straps from REI instead of the climbing ones.
Yes but the tarp has been used once now on a different hammock. The hammock is still factory rolled up.
Looks like a great device, hope it works as advertised.
I agree you should look for webbing elsewhere, unless they carry polyester or polypro, since nylon will stretch too much and it's probably tubular which will just add weight.
Do you have any images of the stitching of the loop?
21 days from placing order to opening the package to get my Crowsnest, not bad. Adam and crew are working hard.
Just go with the DL 1.7 oz if you're concerned about laying flat, it doesn't weigh too much more than the DL 1.1 oz.
I like it, simple yet effective.
let's see some pics, nice to see what I should expect. I should be getting mine next week, can't wait to stop using a pad.
Very nice, how long did it take from order to delivery?
Was it really a green 1.1 oz?
Very nice, same color combo I ordered for my Crowsnest.
Now if only I could speed up time so I could get my UQ...
If it's that difficult to find a hammock you like maybe it's better to stay on the ground.
Got mine in the mail, looks amazing, can't wait to set it up.
Now I can hardly wait to get my crowsnest, ugh!
The CAMP Nano 23s are the lightest I found that were still real biners.
I think he's just really backed up with orders, took a few days for a response for me too.
I received shipping info yesterday, now I just have to wait for my uq and tarp which will take awhile unfortunately.
Still works for me, just didn't want a bright color.
I just received my Whoopie Slings in the mail today and they look amazing.
I ordered black but it looks like a dark gray more than black, is this normal?
I just tell myself that I must learn the importance of patience.
Good to hear because I placed my order for a Crowsnest yesterday.
Welcome!!!
Just ordered a DL 1.1 oz, can't wait to get it.
Where does everyone place their pack, boots, etc when hanging for the night?
I've seen some mini hammocks that are intended to be hung below the sleeping hammock which seems like a good storage...
Placed all my orders :D now I must wait :(
Great way to get started... Jump right in.
Stormcrow has a section now
I'm planning on switching to whoopie slings as soon as I get my BB, would one of the standard suspensions make the conversion easier?
Thanks!
What about just getting a small compression sack?
Thanks for the info
