Just chiming in on the darien in 1.2 mtn I have one as well bought it used and use it myself on backpacking trips with zero issues.
Although the warbonnet is a bit more pricey I have a few of their quilts and they are very well made and very warm with their temperature ratings, depending on what ur looking for exactly sometimes...
I believe simply light designs makes a synthetic one.
I've seen the wookie on a chameleon but not a wide.... you'd only lay as wide of an angle as the wookie. I've never found it to be restrictive...
My minifly is easily one of my main tarps. I've had it in some pretty sideways snow and no issues.
I know they have been quite busy. I thought I had seen like 8 week lead time at one point. Typically their customer service is pretty darn quick and efficient.
For a continuous ridgeline I tend to put it over the tarp. The ridgeline will take up some of the tension/sag when u tension the guy lines. I ran into this with my silnylon tarp.
As a guideline from my experience a fast setting in cold tends to be a misadjusted quilt leading to cold air getting in while a slow setting in cool to chill tends to be an over compressed quilt.
U can clip it to the continuous loops with mini beeners.
I'll take it.
As for warbonnets ratings I would say my quilts from them perform down to or beyond their ratings. I tend to sleep a bit warm.
Not sure on ur preference for an underquilt but since you got the eldorado I think warbonnet has one or two wookies in their sale section.
Also an option would be to get the eldorado then later add the xlc winter top cover for colder weather when you may want to keep an extra jacket or such near by.
Ahh, if I connect the Ridgeline separate then I just kinda bunch the snake skins up at/near the prussics when I slide them off the tarp. At the end of the day it's a coin toss which tarp i take with...
Possibly. I've just found it to be easier to set up the Ridgeline first, slide my prussics then adjust the tarp. Altho anything other than my winter Haven usually gets a split Ridgeline. I also...
That's about how I set up my winter Haven. Honestly it's a bit of a pain if tree distance is different from last time because I find that I have to set it up to be able to access the prussics to...
Hi and welcome from the saxonburg area.
That's good to hear. Hammock gear seems to be pretty top notch with their customer service.
Payment sent
I'll take it
No complaints with my yeti. Only issue I've had is on occasion the shock cord runs right against my head but I've found in that case I usually don't have the quilt pulled towards my shoulder quite...
Hi and welcome from the Pittsburgh area.
I'm planning on being there some time Friday afternoon, assuming no further vehicle breakdowns.
While everyone can be different my experience with warbonnet is that they're quilts are rated for comfort. My zero degree wookie at 7 degrees is still fine being paired with a 20 degree diamondback.
Ya works been crazy too. We've been short handed since July and in two weeks I'll be the only person there. Have managed to get some trips in tho. I'll be in oil Creek this weekend with our scout...
I think I'm actually free that weekend. Kids kept me busy over the summer I haven't got out much.
Pretty much the whole thing aside from the peaks which don't need to be covered.

2qzq underquilt protector on my warbonnet eldorado with wookie underquilt.
The stand is well built. I've had it in some pretty windy conditions with no issues so it's definitely sturdy. I use it on alot of campouts with the scouts where trees are limited so others can use...
For a split ridge line I use stingerz. They connect to the tarp via a biner like side then the adjustment/locking side is like a wasp or fly. I think my zingit lengths I use are 18 feet maybe.
Sorry for the mix up on my reply. I thought I read incubator in your post. I now see it says Phoenix. Lol.
Yes you can vent a wooki. Several you tube videos. Essentially from what I've seen you can attach a line to your continuous loop on the foot endand then make a prussic knot onto that. Attach the...
Hi from North of Pittsburgh
Well unfortunately I'm out for this weekend. Having just finished up DC with the scouts and a family vacation next weekend I just don't have enough days in the week, lol.
Signed up. Should be there Friday
The tarp extensions do require a bit of dialing in but overall to get the tarp up a little higher or hang a longer tarp I like them. Definitely sturdy. I was set up at a scout camp out and the second...
It's all a personal preference along with rather u sleep warm or cold. I've had my zero degree wookie down to 7 paired with a 20 degree topquilt and I'm confident the underquilt will perform at least...
I don't very often setup of this bugnet pullouts in my eldorado. The netting seems to be far enough off my face as is.
Ya that's me. With the creative username. Lol.
That's right after our DC trip with the scouts but I'm gonna see if I can get that Friday off and make the whole weekend, possibly drag at least one of my kids along.
Awesome meeting everyone. I'll prepare a bit more in advance next time so I can bring some food to share.
I have bowling with the scouts Friday night but if work stays clear I may get out there by Saturday afternoon hopefully.
Not much but it works.

Hi all. Is there a deadline to sign up for this? I'd like to go but still unsure yet of what my schedule will be.
