The Tare feature really helps. Lots of gear won't really stay on the scale. This allows you to put a basket or whatever on the scale; hit "tare" and start from zero with the basket or whatever not...

That's what I figured. This looks like a good solution. Cuts the weight and bulk to the minimum of time/aggravation which is the time to find/break /insert the sticks; which won't be much time.

I loosely attached the bandolier around the back of my desk chair. There's one photo with a scrunchie holding 2 markers and they'll hold 3 so @ 2" max

I measured out a 60" length of 1/16th bungee cord and attached 12 small "scrunchee" hair loops using prusic knots about 2 inches apart. The small scrunchies will take sticks from @ 3/4 " to maybe 2"....
