Love my wooki. Simple to attach and zero fiddling or adjusting.
As always, enjoyed the video Shug.
Agree. So nice to not deal with suspension lines.
It seems 15-17 is the ideal distance. What is the ideal height to hang your straps on the tree?
is that one arrow that is that long? What brands do you recommend? What is the search term to use to locate a folding arrow? Breakable?foldable?
Would like to see the little buck saw on there. Any plans for that?
Good point thanks.
Highly recommend the Patagonia Houdini windbreaker. Very versatile at only 3 oz.
If you attach the warbonnet underquilt protector to the top cover or bug net using the zipper, how do you attach the underquilt? I assume there is a small channel at each end that allows the...
#1 or #2?
I highly recommend. I have a zero degree and have only taken it down to 25 degrees and was comfortable. You can’t beat the ease of setup and not fighting suspension lines with your legs.
BRS stove. About $15 and less than 1 oz. great stove and/or emergency backup.

No problem. Perfect enlightened equipment revelation APEX clone.
Good to know on the climashield given I'm working with an $80 brother sewing machine.
Very nice! Have done Costco quilts and will next attempt a climashield one but not quite ready to attempt sewing baffles.
Had been a while since I made this so i had forgotten exactly what I did in my original post. The quilt from Costco is 70"x60". All I did is cut off a 3 (I think) rows to make it 70"x48" then sew on...
Thanks for the heads up.

Here you go. First attempt at attaching a picture so let’s see if it works.
Very simple and basic underquilt. It retains the sewn through seams that come with the stock quilt...
Any carbon tarp pole options for superfly at a couple of ozs?
Have made a few Costco quilts. I have a summer one where I left all the seams in, cut a couple of rows in width and added it to the length. Then just sewed in channels, added shock cord and it's a...
Very nice. And the weather forecasters predicted 1" and mostly a non event. It seemed they were very embarrassed Saturday morning and didn't mention the totals often. Most I can remember it snowing...
Always did a lot of tossing and turning on a pad and felt like I was on the verge of sliding off so never could sleep well. Tried a hammock and slept perfect. Now just trying to speed up my setup...
Ripstop by the roll is great. This is a great video for making a top quilt.

I just do a half hitch with a quick release.
Welcome
Happy hanging.
Anyone received the new XLC and had a chance to compare it to the old one?
Seems the biggest change is to the winter top cover with the vents.
Welcome from GA!
Hello and welcome!
Hello and welcome !
Makes sense....thanks For the info
Congrats, love mine.
If you want a simple turn key, no hassle option then just buy a warbonnet Blackbird XLC, winter topcover, underquilt protector and wooki underquilt and you are done.
Haha, you are just barely itp. thanks.
Hello and welcome!
Obviously the fear with down is that it will get wet and fail. How hard is it for this to happen? Has anyone experienced failure with a dwr treated underquilt or top quilt?
Welcome. Love my wooki. Highly recommend over suspension lines that get in the way and require you to adjust and fiddle.
Awesome, thanks for the update
Also, I did the faux baffles on the costco quilt and it seemed to work fine. For me I just don’t trust it enough if I were in a wet, cold situation. I just bit the bullet and bought a wooki. In...
Starts to get heavy when doubling up. If you have the money, you can’t beat the warbonnet wooki style setup. No more adjusting and dealing with feet hanging over suspension lines. Set it and forget...
Got it. Thanks all
+1
