thank you that's what i was looking for :)
I'm looking for something similar to the metal tips used by Warbonnet on their ridgerunner, wondering if anyone knows where to find something like that? (i understand that these are insert into...
Fronkey is indeed what i meant - and yeah its easy to make. I keep wanting to find a way to make a zipper-one but without a zipper .. somehow hehe
i find im a somewhat-side sleeper and i generally sleep on the left side (heart down, which is naturally the best position) though sometimes right side. In a bed I get support with a pillow so im not...
I'm curious about everyone's favorite ways to attach a bug net, or if they've found new and fun ways to do so that they've experimented with
The classics:
- zippered on the hammock
- full...
A couple of things i found interesting.. of course bar length makes a big diff ( 2 inches can be "make or break" ) but also the arc of the "cat cut" makes a large difference. a more parabolic curve...
I think your post is on point :) That's also why I'm curious about CMoulder's response, albeit he might also not be able to say as he was testing a product (I think it might be your product...
For the record if you're talking about me here (it sounds like you do):
The suspension i'm using is +- the same as CMoulder...
A bridge I made - it looks similar to a ridge runner, 80 inches long, 36 inches wide at the widest ends.
Honestly a couple of things come to my mind, though these may be completely wrong:
- you...

it helps with the wind mainly, less vibration (ie less "flapping") as it keeps good tension on the edge of the tarp
wow glad I asked, this is great, thanks !
Anyone tried to make their own?
ive been experimenting with carbon pole + a simple suspension bridge style system (so 1 truss really) which works well with less fiddliness than multiple ones. it looks quite similar to your pic...
did you hear of any results? Depending on type of ground i'm wondering how much these hold vs the other style. I suspect the orange screws are much better in firm ground, but probably worse in...
For lightest I go with dyneema straps and a becket hitch. its also quick/easy/convenient imo and the knot aint hard at all. but, its fun to play with all the other ways and gadgets you can use ;-)
haha same here.. but a little discount would still be nice ;-)
thanks that's helpful. indeed it was 70D vs 20D. I think I might go for the 1.7oz SL :)
Im tempted by the "lightweight" double layer XLC.
Currently ive a single layer chameleon which is great, but a little bit less comfy than my "heavy duty" el cheapo 11ft amazon hammock. I'm thinking...
I like "the nest" (my 2cts)
checks:
- correct theme
- close meaning to what it is
- easy to remember
I'm not sure if you care or if that's exactly the right place, but I'll post it as it's related:
- I have a Revolt 65"
- I have an Enigma, regular-slim
The Enigma regular-slim is great. Its a...
This is a neat setup! how's your overall weight for the whole thing?
I've an EE UQ (revolt: https://enlightenedequipment.com/revolt/ 65") and I wondered if this should work well on the XLC. The reason I'm asking is because in the pictures the UQ's made by Warbonnet...
