Only used twice, I live in the South and its too much underquilt for the nights I stay out. Took it down to 34 and was warm. Color is black outer and black interlinings. Custom made to order. Stored...
Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas and this definitely makes me want to go!!
I have been out in 22* and had CFS but I got up and got my Thermarest sit pad and placed in under my hinny and was snug as a bug the rest of the night. I think the advice of putting the blue pad...
I use this as a ground cover cut in half. I don't know about as a tarp because you would only have a small amount of overhang over the hammock.
Headlamp hung on ridgeline, Flashlight, knife, kindle white, small pill container, water bottle and earplugs in ridgeline organizer. :)
I have a 3/4 UQ that I prefer more then my full length. I carry a Thermarest sit pad and use it under my feet if I have problems.
I don't have a whole bunch of gear but the small stuff is in one of those shoe keepers that hangs over the back of the bedroom door. Grab and go!
One of my favorite places!
Congratulations on your hammock purchase. Tents are a drag! I also love to read in the hammock, especially on these long winter nights. I went ahead and invested in a paper white kindle. Its not...
I most have it bad to hang in the cold! 3 x 2!119795
I only have one set and they are the MountainGoat brand and they are awesome. I especially like the pocket on them to hold my line nice and neat.
Thanks for the help Shug. You are always there to rescue us poor under-educated hammock hangers. Lol
I was hanging this weekend in temps that were 35 with winds light and variable. Used HG Burrow and Incubator both rated at 40 with 2 ozs overstuff. Used an underquilt protector and also a JRB summer...
Setting up and then walking over the next ridge and saying, "Dang this is a great place to hang"! I will have to go here next time!
Go for a short night hike then curl up with a really good book and look at the stars.
I really love HG! I ordered a all three of my quilts from them and the quality is just awesome. I have gotten so many good compliments on them when I hang with friends. I also love Dutch too. He has...
I ordered the Grizz Beaks. I like the idea that I can take one set of both if needed. Depending upon the weather.
You won't be disappointed with the Hexon 1.0. Dutch made me a 9.5 half-wit and it feels like I am cocooned in a soft glove at night. Awesome!
Great ideas guys. I am a pretty new hanger and like the idea of using things that I already have with me. A Nalgene bottle and space blanket are right up my alley. I also have a UQP that I use that...
I just got my incubator and have been using a Phoenix and felt the same way. I like the full length but I think that the 3/4 will always be my favorite. Feel like my feet are more free, if that makes...
Nice looking sack! It is addictive!
Here's a girls point of view. No, Heck No!! But.....you know that there is always a But when a woman speaks. If you attached a pee bag somewhere to the end of the hose it might work. Wouldn't want...
Do we need to start a bail fund?
Dibs on the 50.00 bag if the first falls through.
Lmao! The pic is upside down, it most have been the Smirnoff!
118181118182118183 Before you get on too me about the hillbilly hanging of the tarps, it was intentional. Calm night, just wanted to keep the dew off us. Oops, where did that Smirnoff picture come...
I will take #8, the jrb liner for 20
Sounds like fun!!
Love the vest the most. Like the Jacket too, going to use it around the house!! The vest is for the woods, Sweet!!
I think that I am going to try that and see what it looks like. Thanks! I am going out Tuesday for a few days and I bought some little clips to put on the ends of my tarp. The pulls aren't centered...
The nylon sock isn't an option, wouldn't help my dog. I think that I am going to order one set and try they out. I like the vestibule that you can make with it. 45 is a lot cheaper then 140.
I kinda like the grizz beak. Then you can use them or not. Pretty neat product!
Okay, here's my question for all you experienced hangers. I have a 10 x 10 Etowah tarp that I just love but I have been wanting doors for the winter. Is it possible to configure this one with doors?...
Thanks!
Me too! I am like, Wow. Then I feel dumb!
Nice Video!! Were there's a downhill there's a freaking uphill!! Lol!! I love the setup on your pack for the water bottles, is this something you rigged up yourself? Is it just shock cord with locks?
If I understand correctly primarily suspension is the cord that runs the length of the underquilt and the secondary is the one the goes around the headbox and footbox of the underquilt. I believe...
You might want to check with Etowah Outfitters, they have some good light weight silnylon tarps that are lighter then the Kelty and weights are around the same. :)
I'll take it.
I'll take the Nike Wind Storm Jacket and the Down vest.
