I dunno, I like my teal hammock.
Bright colors are my favorite, but I do have a foliage green tarp. That tones it down a little bit.

Good read. Glad to see hammock camping getting out there.
Looks cozy!
What knots were you tying? There's a lot of hardware that make things a cinch.
Lookin great!
I just got my AHE underquilt yesterday, slept like a baby last night!
Much better than a DIY Poncho Liner Underquilt ;P
This is the weight that he quoted me.
This is the material he uses http://ripstopbytheroll.com/products/1-1-oz-silpoly-pu4000 .
When I get it, I'll weigh it but I trust the guy.
He did...
I paid $110 for it, shipped.
Weight, 9 ounces. Size, 11x9.
It's a bit more, but Charlie rocks. He's worth the price. He will sit down and design the exact tarp you want.
Perhaps the wrong hang angle? Maybe the pillow.
I use a S2S UL Pillow and it's barely inflated but just enough to add a bit of elevation.
Any wide hammock. I have a Ticket To The Moon Double Hammock and it's great. Big enough for two people or tonnes of room for one person.
Reflectix sheet.
Shug has me hooked. Weighs nothing, warm, and a nice little sitting pad when it's wet.
Total dream spot
Not a bad idea. My only concern is weight, but I'm a weight queen so I have a bias.
But the cheapness sounds nice as well.
Thanks for the share.
So I was browsing the hammockforums and came across this thread pertaining to the company. Never heard of the company but started looking through comments and it seemed like this guy has made quite a...
So I'll be spending two months in Hawaii working on a few various projects to unwind.
I plan on camping 90% of my time there.
I'll be spending two weeks on Oahu then 6 weeks on the Big...
I'll be adding mine tomorrow.
Thanks :)
Welcome from Death Valley!
Welcome from Death Valley!
I use 1.75mm zing it.
Light, and I'll never have to worry about it breaking. I'd be surprised if it did.
Just got my jarbridge today!
Can't wait to try it tonight, it'll be getting down to the 50s.
Good idea!
Handwarmers are an essential in my pack.
Check out Mountain Wilderness Gear. His UL Hammock is 11 ft long, weighs 10 oz with suspension, and packs down to the size of a softball.
Super, super soft as well.

Cheers
Sending you a PM
I got a phantom 3, never been used, that I can part with. What's your offer on that?
Welcome from Death Valley!
Mine works fine but it feels a little heavy.
Upgrading to a Mountain Wilderness tarp though. Only 30 dollars more and 5 ounces lighter 8)
I use 6 feet straps paired with 6 feet whoopee slings giving me a total of ~11 feet of hanging room. I've never had to go past that.
I say 11 because I like to have about a foot of slack below my...
Glad to see you are on the way, that's awesome.
How do you like your HH UQ? I've been considering purchasing.
Charlie, hell yeah!
Use this in the idea that I was telling you about earlier.
I can't wait to get my tarp and hammock from you!

Hey.
Consider switching to a Arrowhead Equipment's Jarbridge Underquilt. It's really nice, warm, and it's fairly light.
Plus, it's awesome to support a cottage vendor.
Welcome to the Forums!
What type of DIY stuff have you done?
Plan on doing any Hammock DIY Stuff?
Regardless, Welcome from Death Valley!
Hey!
Little heads up about your website.
The contrast in the search bar is really awful. I can't tell what I'm typing. Maybe alternate it to a Black instead of white.
:-)
Welcome to hammocking!
You'll never sleep uncomfortable again, plus it's way cooler than a tent!
Good advice.
Currently using synthetic bag/underquilt but looking forward to upgrading to a down top quilt/underquilt
Just a little too much right now!
Can't wait to see the Halfwit versions!
This color is fantastic.
Looks awesome!
Congratulations!
I keep a sleeping bag just incase I need to sleep on the ground.
That, and I don't want to wait 8 weeks for the top quilt I want to arrive.
I love love love my Dutch Argon1.6 wide.
Just the walls feeling higher alone makes you feel more secure while sleeping
Just starting.
I'm at 6/9 nights now, a little too windy a few of those nights.
I'll toughen up in a bit ;)
When I was younger, i wore pool to the socks.
I got made fun of and called poolsocks.
Now i think it's hilarious and it's my trail name.
I'll take one!
Let me know when to send you money ;)
Everyone raves about the superfly tarp.
Shug has a pretty decent video explaining doors and all.
Hey, welcome!
Jealous of you, I really want to visit the Pacific Northwest!
I'll buy one, pay shipping and $10 for convenience
Cheers!
Completely normal.
I use this http://theultimatehang.com/2012/05/rigging-a-tarp-for-a-hammock-with-hardware/ .
Thanks for the welcome!
Not too keen on spending $140 for a tarp, you know?
I feel like I could DIY for a quarter of that.
