Definately well worth the wait. I went with a 30F and an ounce of overstuff. Would order from again.

Looks like from the sign up sheet that most folks plan to be there by Fri night so don't see why not have it then.
Order is in for SLD. I've had several HG and Dutchwares so this will be a new vendor for me. I certainly liked that Jared allowed for so many different variations. I went with 12ft wide, no taper, no...
So my HG mesh snake skin has started to unhem itself after a year. Any thoughts on anyone that makes a decent snake skin? Prefer one piece, 12ft long, storage pockets are not used so not a concern...
Ordered 11/19, shipped today if folks are curious about the estimated time frame. Can't wait til wednesday!

I've always used HG, so this will be new for me and I have 2 UQ from loco libre quilts coming so it'll be mix of new items.
I received an email from him last week about the color. Based on the date of my order, it seems like he is close to being back on schedule.

Here is a picture I uploaded to another discussion elsewhere with the tips of the WB RR original poles 2020 build, WB RR Ruta Locura, and current DW Banyan.
HA! If it's the one that was sold on here, I was trying to snag the same one while I wait for my new one. I must have picked a popular color so a bit of a delay. I have a scout trip that I can test...
You guys were right, about 5 days from production to shipped. I just recieved an email with tracking information.
I was rushing due to the storm so I didn't really take the time to get a good lay. I feel that the AHE UQ still would have held up regardless. Hopefully I can get some time in it tomorrow afternoon....
I did not personally get a chance to lay in it, I had my son lay in it as I took pictures and examined the whole set-up. I could not find any gaps from my perspective externally. My son told me that...
Ran out to get it setup between storms, I had my son help me. I don't see why AHE says it doesn't fit, doesn't seem tight nor loose.

I only loan spare gear and when I mean loan, I automatically assume I am giving it to them. If it finds its way back to me undamaged, great. If it finds its way back to me damaged, I already assumed...
Thanks for confirming with Ruta Locura. I have the CF poles for my WB RR and was considering doing the same for the Banyan however I agree with your assessment as I'm not a gram weenie. I'm at the...
How long does it usually take for an order to go from IN PRODUCTION to SHIPPED? I have some things coming up and trying to figure out if I need to ask to borrow gear.
I have both a banyan and Ridge creek from AHE, I'll try to test out the fit tomorrow and post pictures.
The metal hardware they are referring towards is the original WB RR I believe. The current RR does not have the same metal pieces any longer. Having said that, the bridge buttons do not work on the...
Have you reached out directly to Ruta Locura to verify this weight since the length of the poles of the Banyan are also almost 3 inches shorter than the poles that you would use for the WB RR?
You might be able to make the strings inside the sheathing work.
Below is the instructions I received with mine that state to hang the head end 2 inches higher than the foot.

Thanks for the review! I know quite a few people, mainly in scouts, that use their products since they take a beating. Their customer service is also fantastic.
2nd on the Ridge Reaper. Let me know if the 1st guy falls thru.
If my quilts don't make it in time, I'll at least come out Saturday evening to see everyone. I got a few items to throw in the raffle as well.
DCF takes up more space than I care for in or on my pack compared to the weight savings. Also louder by comparision and more difficult to run through a snake skin which I'm unwilling to compromise on...
With Dutch's bonded tarps now out, I question if I will use mine nearly as often.
I ordered using the same color as the body, forest green. Didn't see a reason to change it up.
Yep,I noticed that the other day. I'll admit I posted a bit early in the hopes of influencing the date as it is both an anniversary and a birthday so the likelihood of me attending is practically nil.
:scared:Anyone a tester and thoughts if available? This might replace my winter wide.

I'm unsure at this point due to a birthday party and anniversary same weekend.
Haven't seen anything so thought I'd throw a date out for a possible Hoosier spring hang if there is any interest. Putting a date on paper is usually the hardest thing.
I feel like I was more prone to calf ridge with wide hammocks than standard. I've owned a half zip, chameleon symmetrical, RR, and an xlc (old design). Never had calf on the zip, RR, or xlc but can't...
When did you order yours? I have two ridge runner UQ on order that I went back and forth on forever. I've always heard great things so really excited to see the end product.
I love the double pole mod.
Only ground cloth I use is big enough for my pack, but I also use it for my knees or to sit on rather than a sit pad. Keeping unnecessary dirt/mud off my clothes means less mess in the hammock which...
Zpacks is having a sale, check my earlier post and its definitely worth moving away from econs. I have both econ and prems from HG.
I have been using a single layer RR and use the Ruta Locura CF poles. I weigh almost 200 and I have probably about 5 lbs of personal stuff/water in the hammock with me not including the UQ/TQ. I...
I'm in the middle of paring back my gear so that I can focus on my RR setup. Purchasing 0 deg ridge reaper UQ and TQ, 30 deg ridge reaper UQ, and I would also really like to make some adjustments to...
I'm also curious. I was looking at both the lynx and the reaper. Not sure the reaper is worth the price difference though is what I struggle with.
I'd almost be afraid they wouldn't be able to support the warranty side this point. Something breaks and they have no components to make a repair.
I wouldn't wait for the Banyan at this point. They were hoping Fall but now they don't even have that listed. Get the RR, enjoy it, and when/if the Banyan becomes available, get it also.
Someone at the hang was asking about fishing the ponds at Hoosier National Forest. Below is a snippet from a post made by DNR this week concerning stocking of the ponds:
"Indiana Division of Fish...
It quit raining 2 mins after I jumped into my truck. Didn't even get the chance to take off my gaiters.
Currently running late, may be there Friday. Too many things hitting me at once.
Update on Banyan: The Banyan is not currently available. At this point, we do not have an ETA for when this hammock will be available for sale.
no more or less than using headlights for extended time.
I'll try to make it this time if I can convince my wife to take my spot for a scouting event. It would be good to see everyone again.
Those bridge buttons are almost a requirement as often as I've heard people poke holes in their tarp.
Have an example?
I don't think it's as bad as folks can make it out to seem, but I could see if you already had a balance issue how it could be a problem. Key is to always grab the sides as instructed by the...
