I will probably be there by Thursday and leave sometime Saturday. I have a trap competition on Sunday that overlaps unfortunately.
I've owned an AH 50deg UQ for my RR as well and felt underwhelmed but I probably needed to use UQ protector due to a breeze that kept stealing some of the heat. I also wasn't a fan of how large it...
Do you find that the fleece snags on rough skin much?
I also am unlikely to use it as a pillow, I've just been looking for something to handle 50deg summer temps which my 30deg is a bit too warm for me. I have a S2S liner that I have used but it is not...
Does anyone have experience with the Quillow yet? I've been wanting to get something for the summer as I feel my 30deg TQ is too much for the summer time and the quillow looks like it might fit the...
Still not done with both sides but it's a starting point. I'm trying to keep the original hardware should I decide to sell the banyan later.

The tips on the banyan have a better radius than the ridgerunner. That being said, I still wouldn't trust them not to go thru a tarp as some videos have shown in the past. I'm looking at you, Schill...
The dutchware ones are on their website now for sale.

This discussion has made me decide to change out the amsteel to mimic the ridgerunner so that I can use the tarp protectors in a more permanent fashion. I will also be adding the bridge bones to both...
Below are pictures shared by Camping Nut of the Dutchware tarp protectors sold at Hangcon.

I do have to say that out of all the poles I have for bridge hammocks, the tips that were on Dutch's was the most uniform and clean. I prefer them over warbonnet's.
I was looking at doing something similar with some moldable plastic I have that would clip on but can't figure out a way to keep it retained when the poles are not attached. I don't want to worry...
There use to be a company called frugal innovations that sold bridge buttons that fit the ridge runner perfectly without slipping out of the amsteel. I was hoping something similar would be developed...
Does anyone have a photo they can share of the protectors sold at hangcon? I heard some were for sale; haven't seen anything online so don't know if it was just a test run or not.
Would they stay on permanently similar to the common ones used for the RR?
Yes, he said it's this coming weekend.
Wife had a rough week at work so I'm unfortunately having to drop. Will there be a YouTube get together this fall?
It's off the Nebo trail so no camping fee. I think the only fee would be if you camped at the horse camp. Not sure if they ever implemented that.
Based off of prior threads, water may be an issue. I've never personally been to Brown Hollow though.
I plan to be there as long as my wife doesn't share COVID with me again.
Sounds like it was a good time, sorry I missed out on it. Had to eat oatmeal pies all by myself.
Well, I'm out... Got the COVID and I doubt anyone wants me to share it.
I'll try to make it out. Meteor shower that weekend so not sure I want to be stuck under trees.
Definately well worth the wait. I went with a 30F and an ounce of overstuff. Would order from again.
Looks like from the sign up sheet that most folks plan to be there by Fri night so don't see why not have it then.
Order is in for SLD. I've had several HG and Dutchwares so this will be a new vendor for me. I certainly liked that Jared allowed for so many different variations. I went with 12ft wide, no taper, no...
So my HG mesh snake skin has started to unhem itself after a year. Any thoughts on anyone that makes a decent snake skin? Prefer one piece, 12ft long, storage pockets are not used so not a concern...
Ordered 11/19, shipped today if folks are curious about the estimated time frame. Can't wait til wednesday!

I've always used HG, so this will be new for me and I have 2 UQ from loco libre quilts coming so it'll be mix of new items.
I received an email from him last week about the color. Based on the date of my order, it seems like he is close to being back on schedule.

Here is a picture I uploaded to another discussion elsewhere with the tips of the WB RR original poles 2020 build, WB RR Ruta Locura, and current DW Banyan.
HA! If it's the one that was sold on here, I was trying to snag the same one while I wait for my new one. I must have picked a popular color so a bit of a delay. I have a scout trip that I can test...
You guys were right, about 5 days from production to shipped. I just recieved an email with tracking information.
I was rushing due to the storm so I didn't really take the time to get a good lay. I feel that the AHE UQ still would have held up regardless. Hopefully I can get some time in it tomorrow afternoon....
I did not personally get a chance to lay in it, I had my son lay in it as I took pictures and examined the whole set-up. I could not find any gaps from my perspective externally. My son told me that...
Ran out to get it setup between storms, I had my son help me. I don't see why AHE says it doesn't fit, doesn't seem tight nor loose.

I only loan spare gear and when I mean loan, I automatically assume I am giving it to them. If it finds its way back to me undamaged, great. If it finds its way back to me damaged, I already assumed...
Thanks for confirming with Ruta Locura. I have the CF poles for my WB RR and was considering doing the same for the Banyan however I agree with your assessment as I'm not a gram weenie. I'm at the...
How long does it usually take for an order to go from IN PRODUCTION to SHIPPED? I have some things coming up and trying to figure out if I need to ask to borrow gear.
I have both a banyan and Ridge creek from AHE, I'll try to test out the fit tomorrow and post pictures.
The metal hardware they are referring towards is the original WB RR I believe. The current RR does not have the same metal pieces any longer. Having said that, the bridge buttons do not work on the...
Have you reached out directly to Ruta Locura to verify this weight since the length of the poles of the Banyan are also almost 3 inches shorter than the poles that you would use for the WB RR?
You might be able to make the strings inside the sheathing work.
Below is the instructions I received with mine that state to hang the head end 2 inches higher than the foot.

Thanks for the review! I know quite a few people, mainly in scouts, that use their products since they take a beating. Their customer service is also fantastic.
2nd on the Ridge Reaper. Let me know if the 1st guy falls thru.
If my quilts don't make it in time, I'll at least come out Saturday evening to see everyone. I got a few items to throw in the raffle as well.
DCF takes up more space than I care for in or on my pack compared to the weight savings. Also louder by comparision and more difficult to run through a snake skin which I'm unwilling to compromise on...
