I thought WB offered a double zipper option...

If the CRL is below the tarp does that mean the tarp is resting on the CRL?
In addition to dripping water as noted by the OP, it seems like it would also wear the tarp
I use the tarpworms .... love em ... always amazed how these little things work so well to keep the tarp line tight.
Welcome to the site. I am thinking about getting a bike to do some bike packing with my hammock set up in AZ
I unzip my Western Mountaineering down bag and it works like my UGQ top quilt.
Agree with Dakota... very easy to vent down quilt. I also use liner ... so ifwarm enough I use liner only. If it gets chilly at night I pull the UGQ (down) out.
I use a UGQ Winterdream 13’
Love it. Never an issue, nor is finding trees in Michigan ... different story in the lower elevations in Arizona.
Down normally works.
Great images. Can’t wait to get out there.
I am more concerned about quality ... sometimes (maybe most times) quality costs more.
I had one ... was nice.
Goose down ... not a doubt ... just need to keep it dry like anything else I sleep with.
I use hiking poles, they help me go.

Welcome to the forum ... WBBB XLC double is very nice, in my opinion.
Gathered end for me. I have had both. But as with most everything it come down to personal preference and perception. Try both.
Dutch gear all the way ... really simplifies things
Hutzel ... thanks for comments ... I am a novice when it come to fabric ... appreciate it.
No wash ... but then again I always sleep in a sleeping bag liner when in hammock ... also helps keeping top quilt clean. Also biodegradable wet wipes.
All that said, I also try to not let...

Like new.
$150 plus shipping.
Did you call Ranger Scott? What did he say about the ticks, if you called?
Thanks
Anything but plastic
It sounds like the dream-Tex is new ... WB introduced it late last year ... so wonder if further real world use might reveal potential future issues such as wear over time.
I have an UGQ 0 degree underquilt that I use yeararound. Never get a cold backside. I don’t mind carrying the extra weight. Idon’t See any downside ... am I missing something.
Thanks cmc for the reference.
It is going to be a tough decision
Looking at upgrading to the new WBBB Heavyweight Double XLC.
I already have the WBBB double layer heavyweight XLC, but it is the first generation design. Great hammock, but just looking to get the...
I did the loop clockwise starting at Coates hwy on Saturday; a very nice 20.85 mile over night backpacking trip. It was busy ... even tough finding a parking spot. Only saw one hammock (my own)....
I have a WBRR that was used less than 5 times.
It is doubled layered with bug netting.

I have a WBRR with built in bug net ... added a spindrift, and use UGQ underquilt. Also have WBBB ...guess I use the WBBB more. Would like the newer model though.
That is warm ... for me late Fall / Winter are the best time to backpack in Michigan. Few/no bugs, quiet, crisp air.
Back packed along the Manistee River trail in northern lower Michigan. Used the Warbonnet Blackbird XLC with top cover. Tarp is UGQ Winterdream. Quilts (top and under) both from UGQ. Great night...
That seems to have worked. Thanks
Is there a easy solution to correcting the orientation of photos I post?
Thanks for info on pole length
I have the same tarp ... really like it.
I am going to make poles for it ... how long are the poles u use on the inside?
