Nice video, looks like you had a great time.
I plan on doing this hike at some point but I'm going to wait until it cools down a little.

Beautiful pictures as usual.
Thank you for sharing them!
Looks like you guys had a great time, I hate I missed it.
Nice! Looks like you ate pretty well!
Beautiful as usual. Thanks for sharing.
That looks awesome!
That's way cool!
Nice, looks like a blast!
Looks like a pretty good routine.
This sounds like me
This looks like a great spot for a hang, I sure hope I can make it.
I posted on the other thread also but I am going to try to make this one if possible.
I will try to make this one if I can, it's not too far from home.
Sounds like you had a great trip.
That last pic is awesome, wish I was there right now : )
Man I love catching bream on a fly rod and popping bug! By far my favorite way to fish.
Nice review scrope, thanks for taking the time to put it together.
I think I will head over to my local BB&B this afternoon and see if they have any left.
My Tree Runner is 1.6 Hexon. It's the only hammock I have ever slept in so I don't really have anything to compare it with but I can't imagine anything else being more comfortable.
BTW, I'm 6'...
Yeah, Barry is good people. He is a great ambassador for SMR.
I like to sip on a little Baker's from my Toaks cup.
Just happened upon the youtube video about the hang. Nicely done.

Very nice as usual.
I am a shade over 6' and the regular length fits me just fine. I can even pull it up over my face if I need to.
I think regular length would be plenty long for anyone 6' or under. At 6'1" it...
Actually I'll be free the weekend of the TN hang so it is a possibility. I'm definitely going somewhere that weekend, just haven't made up my mind exactly where yet.
I second this idea.
Would love to be there but can't get away this weekend.
I'm sure you will have a great time.
How did you make out?
Weather here in North LA was pretty rough when the front came through last night so I assume you slept in the van. Hope everyone make it through the night ok.
The only reason I considered getting a double layer was for bug protection. I decided to go with a SL hammock and a separate bug net and I have been very happy with my decision.
I have a set of 40* Econ quilts I have taken down into the high 30's a couple of times with no problems. I agree that they are pretty conservative in their ratings.
SlowPoca,
If you go to the hammock camping forum you will see a sub-forum called Long Distance travel with a Hammock. There are a couple of recent threads about hammocking on the AT that have a...
Looks like you guys had a good time and ate some great food!
Thanks for sharing.
Well I couldn't figure out how to remove the pic of the Anker from the post.
That is a really cool fan, think I will pick one up.
That's pretty cool, how much does it affect the phones battery time? Guess you could always hook it up to an Anker charger.
:scared:
That makes my stomach turn over just to look at it!
One of the first things I noticed when I started getting into hanging was how nice and helpful all of the vendors seem to be.
And you always hear about how great customer service is from all of...
Great video as usual Shug, but I was hoping you would have Packit Gourmet State Fair Chili with Texas Pete Hot Sauce for dinner!
Great pics!
Having ordered from Jared a couple of times I would say you won't have long to wait (that is if you haven't already received it).
I really enjoyed meeting those who were there Thursday night and I guess one night is better than nothing, but I sure wish I could have stayed for the weekend instead of having to bail out Friday...
Heading out tomorrow after lunch, looking forward to it!
Good luck!
I may see you tomorrow at the hang.
Cavaliera, any idea where in the primitive area the group will be?
Thanks guys and congrats on your thru's.
He really dialed it in! That's hilarious.
No, it's all Trump's fault.
Welcome back. Are you still putting together trips for your hiking group?
This is what I was curious about, how often you got to use your hammock in the park.
I would like to know the answer to this one from Vanhalo:
Thanks.
I use a Nemo camping pillow. It has a foam layer but it is also inflatable so you can adjust the thickness pretty easily. Took a few trips to get it dialed in but I love it now.
Nice video, would definitely be interested in a hammock specific one
Cavaliera, thanks for the PM.
I am pretty sure I will be free that weekend so I may try to make it for at least one night, depending on the weather.
I got one of these when I got my hammock from Jared and really enjoy using it.
It also doubles as a great hammock chair.
