Thanks for the info! I had actually watched this video along with other prio to making the purchase. I have had one night in it so far and it was great. Hooks yp reakly well with my hg incubator....
So I managed to squeeze my setup onto the existing kids swingset. I will still extend the length of it by 2 feet or so as it was tight. New gear is great though! Thanks again for all the suggestions!...
Thanks for the link. I had previously looked at these but they do not ship outside the US.
Thanks for the inspiration bkrgi. I think I will extend the length of the kids playset so that I can also fit my tarp. Cheers!
I built my kids swing set. I bought kit similar to this. https://www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.alpine-custom-do-it-yourself-play-set.1000661323.html then you just buy the lumber and build it yourself....
THanks for the suggestions. Yes its bolted down but I have a feeling that it would certainly strain bearing my weight. I also don't think there would be room for my tarp. From other comments here I...
Hi guys,
My new superlight hammock and tarp arrived on Monday from Scotland. First off super fast delivery!!! I only ordered it on Wednesday night.
So far I have only setup the hammock but love...
Hey all,
I have very limited locations to hang in my back yard to try new gear prior to taking it out into the back country for use. As I live in a new neighbourhood there are no mature trees.

Thanks Heydad! Glad to hear that it gave you some inspiration. Good luck on your move.
Yeah, thought that shot would be good to put in the video. Good thing was that it was close to that car.
Thanks! It sure was fun..... if a bit cold.
Thanks Bike-N-Hike and sorry for your pain. If it's any consolation its a fair grind to get there and I had to ride in the dark which was interesting by myself.
A fine steed there uphill. Yeah trying to get away is tricky with 2 under 3 but I tend to give the wife a fair bit of notice and grovelling!
Nice one dirtwheels. Think my front bag is 12l and holds my -20C sleeping bag, down jacket, with a thermarest strapped on top. The seat bag is probably around 10l and I put my hammock, and extra...
Sounds good. Either bike would be a good choice. Depending on your fatbike set up you could run a smaller chainring or a new rear cassette like a one up. My bike is a 1 x 11 (11 - 42T) setup with 28t...
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks! I noticed that there is a bike packing section but there is no threads in there yet. I will no doubt post more vids up here in the future.
Thanks man!
Thanks Mark. Lol I get like that straight after I return from a trip!! I just need to buy a UQ before my next trip! What bike you riding?
Thanks dirtwheels. What bike are you using?
I changed up quite a lot of things from my first trip and planned out pretty much everything to take given that I was nowhere near the car once I got...
Thanks Shug!
Thanks OutandBack, glad you enjoyed it.
Hi Tumbleweed.
my bike is a 2015 Trek Farley 8 with an msrp of around $3,500CAD. I bought it on sale for $3000 CAD in June.
Although I've not weighed it I would guess that it is around 28Ilbs...
Thanks for my first Whooooooo Buddy Shug!!
Thanks Niagara
Thanks!
Thanks 22hornet. The bike is awesome. If I could only afford 1 bike then it would be this one. It's easy to ride. Very useful over different terrain snow, marsh etc and most importantly FUN to ride.
Thanks for the kind comments! I just recently bought the hammock in August. Been on 2 trips and both times I have been rather cold. Both times it got down to around 3C or so with high winds. The...
No write up just a little video I made on my recent trip in the Canadian Rockies

Hi guys,
Apologies for the newbie questions in advance.
I have a HH explorer bottom entry and I am looking to get a 0* Incubator.
Has anyone used them together this way? Is it easy to get in...
Thanks James! Is there many people on here from "local areas"? lol
Hi All,
This is my first post here on the forums. I was guided here by Shug's youtube channel. Primarily using my hammock for bike packing.
originally from Scotland but now living in Canada and...
