Sweet, thanks!
Thanks, its a gift....
Has anyone tried something silly like this?

January hang was done tarpless on a calm, star filled, 9° night last Friday. My DIY unerquilt, sleeping bag, and DIY top quilt had me so warm I had to take my socks off and pull the legs of my flece...
That's a great picture!
Michigan is great in any season, and sometimes we get all 4 in the same day! Preaty much anywhere in Michigan is close to outdoor fun. There are quite a few of us here.

December's hang a few days ago. Temp down to 21°. Great nights sleep and the best part was it was my buddys first hang! Sharing is caring.
Almost, but don't underestimate my ability to loose arrows.... its a gift.
Lol, yeah I bet! I'm guessing you didn't make a friend that day.
While insalling a Dutch hook on a new tarp ridgeline for a friend I noticed a major design flaw.
Well, to be more clear, I noticed the design flaw right after I dropped the hook on some grey...
Got it, Thanks!
Great, thanks for the feedback! In your experience does the quilting need to be on 6" squares or are 6" horizontal runs good enough?
A friend ask me for a 0 degree TQ that could be relied on in wet conditions.
This is the plan I am thinking about, I would love your feedback.
Outer and inner shell of 1.0 oz calendered...
It has 2 inch baffles sewn in every 7 inches.
I finished my first TQ tonight. I learned so much making this one I am really looking forward to the making the next one.
The outside is 1oz HyperD and the inside is MEMBRANE 10, both from...
This looks like a lot of fun! I hope I can make it.
Very cool!
That is cool! Thanks for sharing.
In the thread injector.

This is what workes for me. Just enough pins to place the baffle then tape the edge of the fold right next to the sew line. For me it keeps the baffel from moving/stretching and additionally...
Sewing in baffles for a new TQ and I decided to finaly try using painters tape to help keep everything in place. WOW, so much better!
If you are like my former self (for no good reason reluctant...
Yep, there will be!
Thanks Clockw3rk, that is what this challenge is all about! I love the idea of keeping it going. I have been working on designing the patch and you have a great suggestion. Perhaps a main patch...
Its all on the honor system.
Actualy, harvesting the down from the coats was easer and cleaner than stuffing the quilt. I ripped all the seams, moved the down to the corner, and used a shop vac/panty hoes to suck it out.
Tested out my first DIY down underquilt this week and was very pleasantly supprised. I am now a complete down convert!
My goal was to make a 4 season 3/4 length underquilt. Currently I use a 0°...
Nice work!
Great reports everyone! I just got back from a couple nights out. I had a chance to test out my new Hexon 1.6 hammock and underquilt in the wild for the first time. The temp only went down to 31°...
WOW! Awesome job!
Your idea inspired me to do the same. The size is perfect. I added 1/2 a square in the corners.

How did the Costco blanket work?
Great reports everyone. Pictures arnt required, this is a fun challenge about pushing your personal limits and all on the honor system.
Very nicely done!
I purchased a wasp a few weeks back and every time to string up my tarp I love that little piece of bling more and more. Thanks for an awesome product Dutch!
Looks great
Great pictures and reports everyone!
I have been to the Rec Area a time or two but never strung my hammock there. I will keep that in mind. I am looking forward to the October MI group hang. I can only be there for Friday night but...
Last night's backyard hang. First night under my new tarp and the temp went down to 48. Just used my 0° bag with no UQ to see how it would work. I was nice and warm. #12nights

Start whenever you want, its all in the honor system. Hang anywhere, backyards are totally fine.
That is great! Thanks for sharing.
Looks GREAT! Nicely done!
It was a fun and rewarding project. Definitely not, for me at least, an afternoon project. I learned a lot, got something I wanted in the end, and invented a few new curse words... I call that a...
No Way! I don't want anyone blaming me! In all honesty buying silnylon 2nd's (which look really nice) and everything I needed I have around $60 in the tarp. So it's cheaper, but it's much more work...
