Can I ask how long the blade is on the KWB knife?

Here are a couple of pics of my Ridgerunner buckles. I loosened the loop connecting the buckles to the dogbone hardware first and looped that over itself to remove. Then loosened the dogbones and...
I'm out and about at the moment but can post a couple of pics when I get home, if it'll help. Any pics you can post?

I'm not sure how best to describe it except to say I didn't cut anything. I was able to loosen each loop enough to slide over the hardware.

I didn't take one, unfortunately. But then I guess that just means I have to sleep out this weekend!

The Beetle buckles worked beautifully. I guess I found my suspension. Thanks for the advice. I don't think I would've considered them without it.

My plan is to mess around with my suspension and sleep in the yard this weekend. We'll see how it goes.

I guess I'm going to play around some when I get home!

I haven't detached the buckles yet but the loops on the dog bones worked with the beetle buckles directly or did any of you add a continuous loop?
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Those really would be my 2 goals. I generally prefer a detachable suspension and pulling the webbing out of the buckles every time is annoying. Plus I have a couple of different stands for the yard...
Thanks for the info. I have the beetle buckle suspension from the Chameleon I got. I'll have to give that a try.

I am a recent Ridgerunner convert. Bought it for my wife last year and finally tried it for myself. What comfort! I bought it with the webbing and buckles suspension but am planning to swap that out...

I own both. Started with tarpworms on my UGQ tarp. When I got the Warbonnet Thunderfly I ordered hookworms for that. I thought I'd prefer the hookworms but ultimately I like the tarpworms better....
Do you know if this is the 3s or 1s version?

Dutch's continuous Ridgeline with tarpworms on the corners. And hook works for the beaks. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181026/4fa1b0e8df13fc8da1a470b0d736d6d8.jpg

So I tried a hookworm option and a stinger option. Both worked perfectly. Not sure which I'm going to stick...
I just got mine and have the corners rigged with hookworms rigged with line and shockcord. Was thinking about that for the beaks as well. Loop the shockcord around one tie out, then clip it to the...
I use dyneema straps and tie a Becket hitch to the continuous loops. I like the simplicity even if it means a little more work to get just the right hang.

Got a shipping notice for my Ridgerunner! Can't wait to get in it!
Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
I somehow made it to today without purchasing but it's unreasonable to think I could hold out permanently. A Ridgerunner is on order. Really it's my wife's fault. I was watching a video on one and...
You're killing me! I got an XLC during your last sale. Are you trying to MAKE me get a Ridgerunner? I wasn't built with the will power to resist. I only ask that you come up with a good explanation...
I have a Hexon 1.0 Chameleon and am around 145-150 lbs during prime hiking season here in CT. I have not had any complaints about the comfort. I probably only have about 15-20 nights in it but that's...
This was a great deal. Got my new XLC. Now comes the waiting...

I have to say thanks to all of you. THIS is the post I have been looking for. I've never tried a bridge but was planning to take the plunge right up until the new XLC was announced. I sleep so well...
I had the same thought. Been waiting to pull the trigger on a ridgerunner. Never tried a bridge which is why I was hesitant. Might be waiting a while longer now.

This is really appealing. My only question is how do I sleep in all my hammocks at once? Or do I pack them all and use a different one each night?
Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
Cabmanhang is correct. The only thing I would add is that you are likely to have some sort of bottom insulation under most circumstances which would mitigate the single-layer issue. Most people find...

I went for the complete package. Any bets on what time it'll reach the goal?

I just measured. Ends up 8.5" x 7" x 6". Probably could go a bit smaller but that's as much as the bag itself will compress.
If it helps, I have a Jarbidge 3 season and it packs into a Granite Gear 8 liter Air Compressor compression sack without issue. I can probably get you compressed dimensions tonight or tomorrow...
Hey Rick. Welcome. I'm relatively new here as well. I'm up in Plainville and glad to see another CT hanger. There don't seem to be many of us on the forum. I'm always up for a hike and hang if you...
Right now REI has an ENO One Link complete system at $109. certainly not a cottage vendor but would likely serve him well as long as the weight isn't a problem. For a hammock, bug net, tarp and...
Any idea what the Incubator weighs? Not sure if there's been any change in the few years since new.
TrailSlug, did you do anything else to prep the metal?
Pricing was almost identical. I went with galvanized BEFORE even thinking about having to paint. In theory more rust resistant than black pipe. Not sure how much it matters after nothermark's advice.
Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely count on doing that too. Of course now I have to decide what to paint it.
I had a bit of extra time over the holiday weekend and decided to build a hammock stand. This is my first season hammocking and unfortunately I don't have appropriately placed trees in my yard for...
Really new to the forum. Just added myself. Can I really be the first from CT?
Payment sent. Thank you! Been needing one of these.
