An adventure of a start to my 2022 camping season. Went out for the first camping trip of the season last Friday April 1st and also experienced my first hammock fail (not an April fools joke).

Only possible downside to Sonyea State Forest in the winter could be the road in. I'd guess it's plowed up until at least the entrance of the forest since there's homes and farms on the road in. I...
Have the 360 and love it. It's also the only hammock I've ever slept in and sleep better than in my bed so to me it's great!
There's probably an add-on or plugin or something for vbulletin but that's just message board life.
edit.. if conversations extend with someone, take it to another platform? Text? I run a message...
An odd first post for someone.
hmmm can't believe I never thought to try namaclaws on the tie-outs. Time to order a some more! The never ending accumulation of stuff.
As for the spaghetti tangles, I've learned to tell myself...
Like a cat enjoying an empty box, if it fits, it sits, and it's a favorite box!
I have no idea what size line you have with it but owning nama claws and using them I know that opening is super small even for 1.75mm line. Best advice without knowing more is to try and gently cut...
Why haven't I ever thought of wrapping my stakes up in the middle of my tarp like that! Cool video. Always great to pick up bits from others.
I love your way of thinking. I fit, I don't fall to the ground, I sleep, and I'm happy!
I did manage to get another one when they popped back up in stock.
My primary sleeping hammock is the 360 and have used it many weekends just fine so far and I'm not a small guy. Maybe it's all I...
Sounds like you had the same experience I did going to an actual pillow! Perfect for a hammock and found it worked really well in a tent as well. Had thought maybe it'd be too small but it wasn't.
When you click buy it takes you to Amazon and says unavailable. Thanks though!
Anyone familiar with something similar in style and price to the Ridge Outdoor Gear Pinnacle 360 or even 180? I have one already and love it. Looking to get a 2nd but it doesn't seem like they've...
Started with a couple of different blow up pillows and they did not give me a comfortable night sleep at all. Searched, searched, and searched more and saw plenty of mentions in these forums to the...
10 years later and I can't believe this isn't a thing.
Not sure how I found this thread but too good to not read from the beginning.
TIL I might be able to just shove everything in at the end of a trip. Never thought about it!
Hit me up if the above falls through on the HG quilt. (can't hurt to ask)
Thanks for the welcome! I got into this buying stuff for comfort and what I could afford to replace all my summer car camping gear. Was just surprised more than anything. Now I know I can add more...
Friend in the 4 walls mentioned he wanted to come sit under our tarps but didn't know if we were awake so he sat there. Hammock/tarp for the win!
I think I picked bucky after the name of Bucky Badger from University of Wisconsin back in the early 90s and then just added my zip code. Success many years later!
Hello from Rochester NY! I'm new around here and committed to hammock life. Introduced to this world last summer with no name $20 hammock off from Amazon last summer, enjoyed some afternoons, went...
Perfect! Mental note, next time just ask for pictures. :)

I have a Gregory Baltoro 65 which I know is big enough to hold it all, just understanding the difference when something is likes 5.5 vs 8.5 liters.
Thank you!! Makes sense now.
Planned on just standard everything. Instinct says I'd be fine with 30f, wimpy me says 20f but concern (maybe it shouldn't be?) is the physical size they take up in a pack. Right around 30f is what...
I've got my eye on the Economy Burrow and Incubator underquilt and topquilts either 20° or 30°. Have some Eno stuff now (Ember UQ and Vesta TQ) because they were in stock, available, I'm anxious to...
First post, short time lurker. lol.. I feel like Rmil. Overwhelmed trying to decide. Looked at those options and like how you said they're rated for comfort vs survival. Prices look decent. Sold. Or...
