Flying dinosaurs! Run, little mammals, run!
If you want to cut your 3/4" EMT lengths into thirds like @jeff-oh this Drawn-Over-Mandrel tubing might work better than 1" EMT for joint sleeves.
1" OD {A} x 0.930" ID {B} x .035" Wall {C} DOM...
Just imagining the video of...SQUIRREL!!!
I like it under my snowshoes on occasion, but "snow, camping in"? Not in my index.
How do you propose to hang a hammock in your typical airport?
Flaring one end of the copper tubing with a flaring tool first before putting it down on the ball peen hammer that's being held in the vise might make things easier. A large flare tool might even be...
Years before the personal computer, BBS's and internet forums, I strung a Guatemalan hammock in my garret apartment to cope with hot humid summer nights. Years later, I strung an Eno in my townhouse...

Today - sunny, 80. Yay, let's pack light and take the long trail. Oh, wait. Thursday - snow, 20. Fall in Colorado.

The Land of Nod
I was attacked by a long spell of nocturnal leg cramps that would come on hard and tight whenever I woke up and tried to shift my legs a little. No help from magnesium supplements, bananas, tea with...
Didn't know they have high tide in the Dakotas.
Might work for tensahedron if attachment to tubing allows rotation around the pin.
Very nice. Are you transporting it on a roof rack?
Let your consciousness sink into the fractal depths of chaotic sound?
I sleep well.
Pretty much perfection here - 75/80 high, 50 low, sunny and dry.
(however - winter is coming)
Not just you. The DN was too annoying, so I traded it in for a SN, which has the same problem, just less of it. Ridgeline helped, but the SN doesn't make it as an overnight sleeper. Naps OK.
Ha! Your method cuts to the chase. I went straight to algebra.
I'm liking this vendor where 1" x 20 gauge DOM steel tube can be ordered cut by the inch. $21.84 + shipping for 8 pieces cut to 7". A 60" piece has extra shipping cost, while a 24" and 36" piece...
Makes me glad to read that 0.93 works freely over 0.92! I have no good feel for what tolerances like that mean in real terms. So the 20 gauge x 1" DOM steel tube has potential.
I dunno. Gap = .005" all around seems to lack enough tolerance to be practical. Maybe polishing down the OD of the 3/4" EMT would help. Rust would become an issue.
1" EMT has ID = 1.049 for a...
Did you try this?
That's no Front Range stocker trout!
Looking for snug-fitting sleeve material for joints, it looks like 1" round steel tubing in 20 gauge DOM might work. DOM = Drawn Over Mandrel, an additional step applied to Electro Weld tube which...
and subvert the Spurtle Alliance!
OK, I知 hooked, reeled in and flopping around on the shore  On Taco Tuesday, no less.
@jeff-oh @Hardway how much does the 3/4 EMT / fiberglass camo pole bundle weigh?
I can nap with the Eno SN hanging diagonally across the cargo bay of my short wheelbase low roof van without bumping my butt on the floor
Wait, there's places in the Amazon that don't have bugs and mosquitoes? I'll cop to ecological ignorance, but we are talking South America, the equator and rain forest, right? As opposed to, say,...
Folded has been OK, but I've had to iron before cutting for some irregular patterns with critical dimensions.
[QUOTE=WhollyHamaca;1982704]I keep a little bottle of Hyland's quinine tabs with my flashlight in a pocket on the side of the hammock in case I get a leg or back cramp.

Moose need help. Where Squirrel?
That's what bug nets are for
The size of this forum is strong evidence that this is as true as Johnson's stone.
Well hello there. Long time hiker in these glorious mountains. I'm mostly a flat sleeper for the regular shuteye, but enjoy an occasional nap on the swing. A midday break on a wander in the woods and...
