Wow. Thanks!!!
I'm laying in it right now. I can't believe one can be this comfortable and be sleeping outside.
Why... Why... Why did I sleep so many decades on the ground!?

If I decide to larks head these loops to my dogbones, which end do I use? Is it best to have the thinner end larks headed to the dogbones or the thicker end (the end with the rubber on it)?...
Super helpful. Thank you!

Oh my word. I had no idea there were different types of sealant for different types of tarp fabrics.
Just looked up the gear aid stuff I used and thankfully it was for Silnylon, which is the same...
Ah. What a rookie. Just put the sealant on the inside.
Perhaps tomorrow, take a hose and see if it leaks?

Hey all, hope I did this right. Did the outside pull outs as instructed by WB. I was going to seam seal the pull outs from the inside as well. Am I doing this right?
Got some aftermarket seam grip...

Hey all, newbie here. Is it OK to attach the dogbones of my bridge hammock directly to a biner? Pic attached.
Previously the dogbones were attached to a continuous loop.
Thanks!...
The Eagle has landed. My new RR arrived a few days ago. Have spent two nights in it. And, my word! I thought a hammock would be comfortable but I had no idea it would be this comfortable.

LOL! Famous! Famous!!!! Edited my post to reflect. Thanks!
Derek Hansen has updated his famous Hammock Hang Calculator. New features include: hammock type, known height vs. known distance, option to calculate ridgeline, etc. Again, as he states, these are...
It does. What would you have done different?

Hi all, can someone explain to me the pros and cons of these two methods of auto tensioning guylines to tarps. Sorry for my ignorance, I'm an absolute newbie.
At first blush, it seems like Method...
Wow! This is brilliant. Thx, Shug!
When I ordered my new hammock, I got a full length 20F Lynx for the WB Ridgerunner. Is 20F that right temp rating for most situations?
I'm expecting my first, ever hammock. It is a WB Ridgerunner.
When you look back, what is one thing you wish you would have known when you first started hammock camping?
I was reminded that the word is aesthetics not ascetics. Ha! Sorry all!
That's awesome to hear!

New WBRR owner here - I've read through the various posts. Is it possible to get an optical flat lay with the WBRR using a stock Tensa4? From what I've read the answer is "maybe" vs. a strong,...
Wow. That's awesome.
UPDATE: It's starting to become clear that building a "hammock pergola" in the backyard is going to be cost prohibitive. I just don't want to spend the money.
Yes - If "looks" aren't a pre-req than treated for sure. However, I need to be cognizant of ascetics. So, cedar is required.
UPDATE: Spoken to a few folks this morning. 6x6, 12' cedar posts are running ~$200-300 each right now! Whoa, mama! I emailed Greg over at Warbonnet to ensure the optimal distance between posts for...
Stupid question - if I put a post at the top, can I still practice putting up my tarp?

I'm having two 6x6, 12' posts sunk 4' deep for my new RR. I know the RR needs at least 15' but I was going to go out a bit more just in case. Good idea? I was thinking 16 or 18 feet apart. Anyone...
Hi all,
I just pulled the trigger on these items. I've never owned nor slept in a hammock. Hope it all goes well. Any tips or guidance would be well received and welcomed. Shoutout to the folks...
Hi all,
I just purchased my first, ever hammock. I grabbed a Warbonnet Ridgerunner paired with a Thunderfly tarp. I was thinking about going with these two Myers products for my suspension and...
