Welcome to HF!
I think the "powers that be" would be very nervous if everyone showed up with chainsaws... perhaps we should ponder that a bit.
I'm going to see if I can make this hang, it's so close-by.
Welcome from Winston-Salem!
Welcome from Winston-Salem!
Thanks for posting. It looks good!
I just saw this on the news. Terrible! I hope everyone is ok, and I hope folks will check in here and give us more info.

Milesbarger has dibs.
Nice work Brandon. Looks great. I'm also interested in the breathability of the overcover. I suppose you can unzip a little for more airflow?
To clarify: 'I'll take it pending you accept my offer' is a conditional statement. If you don't accept the offer, she doesn't claim the item. The "pending x" here is what adds an extra condition in...
BajaHanger has dibs. No conditionals please, it's either or.
I'll take it. :jj:
Thank you.
Please remember to post an "I'll take it" post in the thread. PM's do not claim an item. Posts will always override PM's in any dispute.

I've had good success with the MSR Groundhog stakes. I've only had one break on me, and I think perhaps that was because it went from very warm to extremely cold all at once, maybe an anomaly. I have...
He's referring to rule 5 in the for sale forum rules:
If I make it I will be late. We had to schedule D2's birthday party for the same day. (!)
I'm interested in the "Winter SKI FUR Trooper Trapper Hunter Hat", should you decide to break up the set.
I'm thinking that in cold wet weather, I should hang my hammock and tarp at the earliest possible place, make some tea, change to dry warm clothes, and eat a snack. I'm sure it's easier said than...
LOL Riiight. Mmm-hmm :jj:
Cool! Sounds like a plan. :) I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how it turns out...?
Congrats! Is it waterproof? If not, not sure about making it into a tarp. If it is, not sure about making it into a hammock (sweaty!).
Looks good! :)
There is an article about them here: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php?t=216.
You might want to claim them before you pay for them. An "I'll take it" type post is required to make a claim. Thanks.
I don't think you'd be selfish getting an UQ, but I agree that the priority would be to have a good roof over your head.
Some bump threads have merit, most are just noise. It is ultimately at moderator's discretion as the rule above states. We strive for consistency of course. Any other questions, feel free to PM me or...
I can only wear one hat at a time. I'm interested in the fur lined bomber hat, should you decide to break up that large collection.
Yep, we keep the For Sale posts on the topic of the sales only. Any extraneous posts may be removed.

In my mind, some of the best aspects of down topquilts particularly would be their ability to compress into a small space, the lack of weight, of course the warmth, creature comforts, etc. No one can...
That's exactly what I was afraid would happen. Unfortunately sending a PM isn't the same as claiming an item. You might be sending a PM to ask a question, we simply cannot / do not know the reason...
Maybe hopefully I can make it, and possibly bring a friend and/or perhaps a daughter. How's that for a definite maybe. :jj:
Please remember to post an "I'll take it" post to claim an item, thanks!
PM sent to OP.
Oh ok. I know a long while ago folks had some questions for you in this thread about the hammock details.
Are these new pictures of the hammock project you mentioned previously in this thread??
Just wanted to repost yet again Doctari's link to the weather cam /weather site outside of the Ranger station at Grayson Highlands:
Just fyi going forward: New Rule has been posted here-
Buyers should be able to post a claim here with the reasonable expectation that they will be buying the posted item.
Thanks!
Be SURE to remind Firewalker to bring his hand warmers and foot warmers. :jj:
Thanks for your understanding, I will close as you requested.
You are correct that it was not in the forum rules when you looked for it. This is a new rule that the HF staff has been discussing at length, was found to be necessary, and is now implemented:
...
If you are listing items on another forum, please do not list them here. Thanks.
I have merged two threads together on the same subject, fyi.
Slowanderer added an "I'll take it" a minute later...
A PM does not claim an item. If someone else posts an "I'll take it" post, they would have dibs:
I'm about to cheat a little. If money were no object, I'd be able to not work but instead spend some of that time making all my own gear, make it really well, and then travel all over with it.
Perhaps we should move this discussion of the SF over to the Bottom insulation forum? This WTB forum is for folks looking for gear, and not necessarily one for discussing the merits of that gear.
Are you asking about longer poles because you would like to use longer hammocks?
You may contact any moderator to make that change, or you can simply create a new post saying so in the thread.
Thanks.
