daughter and I used the small 5'x7' compact tarp that Walmart sells, comes in its own sack 6"x4"x1" we both love it.

i started of with a blue single hammock from Walmart and loved it so i upgraded to cottage vendor. the blue 5x7 tarp worls great for a ground cover under your hammock to get in and out with bear feet.

can make whoopee sling out of 20' just be a little shorter (less adjustment) but they would be just right if you use tree's that are closer then 20' apart. and ANY length whoopee's are better then...
