Great stuff, Bob. I shall hopefully give the Lapp Hitch a trial at the weekend if I get out into the woods as planned.
Have you shortened the MyersTech webbing? 15' is a bit long for my needs. It...

Thanks for the communication @PapaSmurf
Dunno but they've also stopped making any hammocks in MTN XL 1.2. Been a few failures apparently. Hopefully just a bad batch because a Darien in it was going to be my next purchase.
It's always useful to see how others do their thing. I'd love to see some of those knots you often refer to. Subscribed.
Wow, that's a lot thinner than I thought. Appreciate the measurement!
Anyone know the thickness of the 1.9 and 3.3 straps? I'm considering chancing a direct purchase from China but they offer 0.6mm, 1mm, 1.8mm, 2mm, 3mm and all the way up to 6mm thickness. My guess...
Well, I've had my new Trail Lair in 1.2 Hexon out for 10 nights so far and I've got to say I find it very comfortable too. I find it has a touch less sag than 1.0 but it's in no way a firm material....
That's a great price for a decent machine. Bernina sold it as 'semi-industrial'. Very rare to find one for less than $650 over here in Europe. I'm using a Bernina Activa 210 which was a low priced...
That was a very relaxing video to watch. Weird how you guys in the States have a different scale to my part of the world. That 'tight and twisty river' appears huge and slowly meandering to my eyes!...
The last 2 numbers of the model are how many different stitches the machine has. 4411 has 11, 4423 has 23 etc. I personally use the sum total of 2 stitches, straight and zig-zag.
MTN XL 1.2 perhaps?
That's great to hear, thanks. Makes me more confident in the Trail Lair I went ahead and ordered in 1.2 that is on its way!
I'm hoping it's a good compromise between ultralight and sturdiness. I...
Ah, I was hoping it had less stretch than 1.0. Thanks for the info.
Hi everyone.
I've searched the site but can't find any feedback on Hexon 1.2 as a hammock material. I believe it only came out in December 2020 so perhaps not many people have got round to using...
I was hiking in Finnmark last summer in a DCF single-wall tent (as solid trees aren't reliably found up there) and had no problem with the light. In fact, my most uncomfortable night was the one I...
Hey, don't know if you already know but Dutchware have some straps and huggers available in 3.3 but only with sewn-on dutch clips. 8' and 12' straps, 4' and 7' huggers. Not many left though.

Hello! Have any of my fellow europeans heard anything about Khibu from Budapest? I too am looking for an underquilt without the massive shipping/tax/tolls from the US and google-stumbled on the Magma...
I believe 60f and under 80% humidity are deemed ideal conditions. The silicone requires humidity to cure.
