TallPaul,
The Laval fields were pretty amazing. I got lucky it was a relatively cool day low 70s and a good breeze. Could have been a lot worse. The boots are a tough one. Yes, there are a lot of...
Well better late than never as they say. Back in August I spent 11 days on the PCT, hiking from Crater Lake to Mackenzie Pass (Sisters, OR). This was the 1st long distance hike I had done. A buddy...
Don't overlook the Washington & Oregon. From SEATAC &/or PDX you can get to a good number of areas. Mt Rainier, the Olympic peninsula, Mt Hood, and oh yeah there's that whole PCT thing.

I spent this past weekend on my first solo backpacking trip. Mt Hood isn't too far from where I live so decided to do something familiar and something new. I basically hiked to Ramona Falls, which me...
Count me in, I'll take any color and cover shipping. Very generous of you, thanks.

Thanks all. That group hang looks like a blast, i'll definitely have to check that out.
Hi All,
Got into hammock camping last year on kind of a lark. It was a 3 day raft trip on the Deschutes, and it worked great. Now I'm looking at doing a section of the PCT next summer, so I'm trying...
