No threads are hanging out of the fabric. It looks more like the threads are shifted away from where they normally would be.

So I've been using one of the Table Cloth Factory 60" x 126" crinkle taffeta hammocks and I've noticed a couple spots that look like the attached image.

Is this normal aka just threads shifting or...

Well, the closet frame/jamb is made out of metal and the hinges themselves are pretty beefy. That coupled with the fact that the drywall is two layers of 3/4" drywall helps a lot.
